Version 5.00: US/Metric at the touch of button. Major overhaul of the roofing component including interactive diagrams instead of the old tabular presentation of information. Quick access to parameters, metric/imperial data, sharing and the regular calculator.

Version 2.20: Addition of new calculations on 'Other Roof' tab - options accessible by 'Long Press'. Small performance improvements also Long Press option more obvious and with feedback via vibration when selected. The app requires IOS 11 and is optimised for iPads & iPhones - Including iPhone X. Requires Full Screen at the moment on the iPad. NOTE: Because of the limitation to 5 visible tab button the remaining tabs are accessible from the 'More' tab. The tabs can be reorganised by going to the 'More' tab and pressing 'Edit'. Swipe the preferred Tabs to the tab bar at the bottom and 'Done'. Update Buttons to highlight multi-function Long Press Option Buttons - Eg Span button can be changed to 1/2 span button by a Long Press (not 3D/Haptic Touch as a number users still on IOS7/8). Added additional length calculations including for 1/2 Span - 1/2 Rafter Thickness (Rafters/Hips - with or without eaves) -This caters for End Jack/King/Crown rafters lengths when the hipped roof ridge length is calculated by adding the common rafter thickness. The alternative method is to add the ridge thickness and in which case the End Jack/King/Crown rafter is the same length as the common rafter. Both approaches are used in different regions. Updated the Jack Rafter calculations to allow for both geometric length and the length to the top long point adjusted for the Hip. Added compound Mitre Saw angles to the Angles/Template screen (long Press Template) We welcome feedback - Settings> More Information > Email - if you have any feedback or suggestions for corrections or future improvements.
