  • Such a cool game… with just a few adjustments

This can be such a better game with just a few adjustments.

After downloading the game, I realized that it immediately put me in Hard mode. For a first-timer, it scared the pants off me! When I found the place to change it to East mode, I thought that it would get better. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem much different at all. I’m not sure if that’s just a glitch in the program. All I know is that a user should be allowed to get used to the game first.

Secondly, the map should be zoomed out more to allow the user time to make corrections to their incoming aircraft. A normal flight pattern can be decided by the user to allow them to make more adjustments.

Granted, I WAS able to land one plane, LOL! I think that if those changes could be made, I would definitely play it more. Otherwise, nicely done for a really good game!

Thank you so much for a very detailed feedback, TrafficMan71! And a special thank you for choosing our plane game! When a gamer downloads Planes Control, it comes in the hard mode, which is its middle difficulty. It's adjusted for the majority of the players and their preferences and it was the only mode our game was having from the beginning. In case gamers want to master their skills, they can always change to the easy mode. The same refers to experienced gamers who want to upgrade to the "extreme mode".   We were offering a more "zoomed out" map for a while, but people found it too small since it's a mobile game. So in case you play it on a tablet, you can check our HD levels. This is exactly what you are talking about so we hope you will like them! Beside this, you can always correct the path of any incoming aircraft just by drawing a new one. We hope this helps!
  • Hard to score this

As a game it’s okay, but it’s frustrating as it’s unrealistic I just want to have “flow” but with an edge to arcade it’s just annoying. Just want to be able to draw circles stack the planes and get them landing but there Is to much else going on with too many landing points, unrealistic speeds and such.

Game play, graphics and sounds are all good, can’t fault it technically. I’m sure lots will have fun with it.

Thank you so much for such a positive review despite the fact that you didn't enjoy our game too much, Lairyliam! We highly appreciate it! I'm serious! When it comes to unrealistic gameplay, I have to disagree with you. This game is a simple simulator of what is happening at the air traffic controller tower and it was tested/played/enjoyed by several ATC managers. They all admitted its realism! Another question is that the job of air traffic controllers (ATCs) is one of top 10 hardest jobs in the world. There is why this game is not as easy as it could be. And this is another point for its realism :)
  • Frustrating

The tornado map isn’t fair. Tornado movement should be random. However they always go toward the entrance of the runways. Then you can’t land planes and the game keeps sending more planes in the map. You have like 15 planes you can’t land and the tornado is still at the entrance of the run way. Game over. Really frustrating.

The game should not spawn a plane where an existing plane is at the very edge of the map. That collision is pretty much invisible and unfair.

Besides the major annoyance the game is fun.

Hi patzivota, the movement of the tornadoes is exactly as random as you stated it has to be. It's surprising that you experienced it in a different way. When it comes to the amount of planes flying in, our game has 3 difficulty modes and you can always change to the "easy" one if 15 planes are too much for you. It's quite sad to see that you described our game as "Besides the major annoyance the game is fun" and rated it with 1 star. But this is your choice.
  • Love this game

Hi, I love this game. One question… it says I need to land 13 plans to unlock the next level. I’ve landed more than that but it doesn’t unlock. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

    Developer Response

Hi African Lilly, thank you so much for the lovely feedback! Could you write us an email to contact@rarepixels.com. explaining the situation? The next level should be unlocked automatically and we really want to help you! Thank you again for choosing Planes Control!
  • Simple Yet Challenging!

The goal is simple. Guide aircraft to their proper destinations. Yet it challenges you! You have to have active awareness of where the aircraft are. You have to make specific final approaches so aircraft don’t collide. And that’s just the beginning! Weather, speed, and runway positioning all effect those split second decisions. I really feel this game exercises my brain! Of w of course, it isn’t replacing learning and real exercise, but it’s rare you find a game where you feel like I’m using more than 2 braincells.

Oh, Ineverreviewlol, you wrote a better summary of our game than we did! Thank you so much for playing Planes Control and for helping other gamers to see its advantages! Have a wonderful day!
  • Nonsense. A shadow of the original game.

This looks like, but is not, the game you may have played 10years ago on the iPhone 3 or 4.

It’s almost as playable but then when you go to continue/retry, some ridiculous video plays for another game.

Look, if you’re ruining my experience in one game, by trying to get me to install a different game, then guess which two games are never going to be played again.

  • Fantastic!

With plenty of digging, I can safely say this is the only game of its kind on the App Store that actually FEELS good to play. It all just works so fluidly, looks aesthetic, and is a great time!

If I had to wish, nay *plead* for anything, it would be more maps, and/or the ability to select modes on existing maps.

To be honest, 3/4 times I play I just wanna soak up a bunch of standard-style play, and grind hundreds of planes without fuel or wind or other calamities. Having more “holiday” style casual maps would be killer!

Overall, freakin’ good job on this game. I’m glued to it.

  • Enjoyable but there’s no completion goals

I do enjoy this game but there’s no ‘winning’ or completing a round. The planes just keep coming and the only goal is a high score. If they created levels with different ranks where you had to land a set number of planes or/and land them within a time limit it would be much more fun
  • Lost progress

Often freezes when pausing or leaving app. Rendering any process lost. Otherwise fun game.
  • New favorite!

There’s a whole lot to like here! The pace of play is satisfying for beginner and expert alike. Each of the levels has enough twists on the original theme to make it feel like a different game. You can earn your way to higher levels through game play or you can pay to unlock them. If you chose to earn your way up the pace is satisfying, not frustrating. Once a level is open you can chose what level to play so you can play a favorite when you want or concentrate on one that gives you trouble. The graphics are not so distracting as to take away from game play. It’s possible to pause. The sound track is pleasing. The interface is simplicity itself. Ads are admirably subtle. I always like to reward a good designer so I happily paid for ad removal and really, the price is very low considering the quality of the game play. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a game enough to feel compelled to write a review. Nice job!
