What's wrong with the game today? Not been able to get on it... is the game shut for maintenance?

Today the game is not "connecting to the world"
It's been like this for several hours.
I tried to play at 6pm GMT and it's now four hours later...!
I thought the game maybe shut due to maintenance...?
