Brings back memories!
I went to a fly by night technical school in the late 1980’s. They closed their doors 10 weeks before my graduation because the owner embezzled our student loans. I managed to get a job in TV anyway, at Hard Copy, which was on the lot at Paramount Pictures.
I was SO proud of myself for persevering, and had many wonderful (off the record) experiences on this lot, including giving my friends my own version of the tour. We visited the locations where there were exterior shots of the Brady Bunch filmed (like when Greg got caught smoking).
My best friend and I sat and had a beer after hours on the barstools at Cheers. We both sat in Jean Luc Bicard’s Captain’s Chair, and we recreated Laverne & Shirley’s show open sequence. By far my most favorite memory was having Henry Winkler stop me in my tracks to take a moment to tell me I looked beautiful. Thanks for the flashback!
