2.1.0
February 27, 2020
This release supports the new GTM schedule. If you upgrade before 1 March you will still see the old schedule and the app will automatically change to the new schedule on 1 March. The new schedule includes all 8 Eskom stages. The time slots have also been reduced to 2 hours (excluding the time necessary for switching). The areas have been expanded to a total of 16. The timetable on the "Schedule" tab has also been changed to only show 3 stages at a time. Use the buttons to the left and right of the table to scroll through the stages. If load shedding is in effect, the active stage will also be highlighted for your convenience. There are also some other changes to the user interface which will hopefully improve user experience.

The area selection box on the Schedule page has been changed to also include the area number for easier reference. GTM moved some places to different areas. We updated the Areas page to reflect which places now fall under which areas, according to GTM. We'd like to hear from you, so please leave feedback or suggestions on our Facebook page.

We’ve changed the Home page back to the familiar Now page as before, to avoid confusion. According to user feedback, we took the prominence away from the area names in favour of the area number. If you're used to your area number, the GTM card on the Now page will now be more useful to you. Not only do Eskom's power go off, but it seems their servers also. This version is somewhat less reliant on Eskom's servers to provide the current load shedding stage. Push notifications about stage changes and more will now be received again. We also left some bugs behind in the dark. We'd like to hear from you, so please leave feedback or suggestions on our Facebook page.
