This is a good tool to run if you are buy a phone. You need to add a test for the touchID and 3D Touch test.

Great little app that's simple and easy to use!
23 simple diagnostic checks that you can use yourself to test the functionality of your phone, ranging from touching all fingers on the screen, to speaking into your microphone etc. Great to check if everything's working as expected on a 2nd-hand phone, or if you want to demonstrate a problem at the Apple Genius Bar.
Could be further improved by adding more specific/thorough tests for certain areas, like checking the screen, and actually fully checking the buttons (if possible). Overall, a nice simple app that does what's expected!

I was impressed by the self-discipline & imagination of the developer, & Apple-like look & feel, all apparent when you use the app.
I don't think you'll need any other app to test a new or used iOS device that you've just bought.
Note that you can only run these tests on an activated device, not on an unactivated one that you are about to buy.
