  • Bad verification system

I try the app and after signing up with my social networks I got flagged according to them for having “ghost” followers! Sometimes influencers don’t have control of that! They should consider quality content to verify the candidates.
  • Useless

Not only do you have to have Facebook to login (I left that dumpster fire long ago), but the only type of influencers they want are people who have way more than simply 10K followers. They don’t even take micro influencers into consideration and overall, when I used this app a while back, there’s just no work. Lame.

Hello tea.babe, We appreciate your feedback. We do encourage micro influencers and our own experience and data shows higher engagement (as a percentage) among influencers with a small but passionate following. Our influencer campaigns are open to anyone with over 3000 followers. Unfortunately, we have less campaigns in Canada at the moment but we expect more activity soon.
  • Th experience from this app depends on your attitude

I’ve just read a lot of reviews on here which are quite negative. This app is amazing if you have real followers 2k+
You don’t necessarily need to buy products ...if the client likes you and your account they’ll send you product themselves. Yes you should invest time into creating the post because it’s just like any job, you’re getting paid for it. I’m very happy I got introduced to this app and I’m loving it. Little bit of side money is always good. Proud to be a Tribe team!

  • Not the App I thought it was

I signed up with this App thinking it would be of some benefit to me and the brands I use, do business with etc. After texting these guys and speaking with someone. I wasn’t able to finalize any of my questions or get any answers to my questions. That’s fine with me I can find a better option for myself. Please do not waste your time with this App. I want my information removed from your system or I will contact Apple and file a complaint about your business practices. Do not bother to contact me either!

  • Can’t login with new update

I updated the app and it logged me out. So I clicked the only option which is to sign in with Facebook. It then asked for my country and email which I filled in but when I clicked next it said the email address is already taken. Clearly it is by me but I didn’t click to sign up I clicked to login (not that there’s an option). If anyone knows how to fix this it would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Total Scam

They make millions fundraising and song companies. If you look at their list of “influencers” most are fake accounts. Real accounts don’t follow a computer algorithm, and tribe has no system for human checking. The reasons they give for “why fake influencers don’t stand a chance” would get rid of 90% of authentic, and 0% of fake influencers. 1. Suddenly getting a lot of follows all at once. My followers jump anywhere from 100-1000 every time I attend an event and put my IG handle up on a screen. Like EVERY OTHER AUTHENTIC INFLUENCER. In fact, the number of followers HOLDING at a certain number is indicative of an influencer who isn’t doing the job of getting out there and marketing him or herself. 2. Likes don’t match follows, or comments. 10,000 followers, 20 likes, 3comments: fake account. This makes Kim Kardashian a “fake influencer”. 10,000,000 followers, 2000 likes, 300 comments. I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t want her repping their brand. 3. Ghost followers. Influencers can do absolutely nothing about ghost followers. Some of us have spent months trying to clean out our accounts for tribe, and then had five more ghost followers add themselves the next day.

Honestly, save your money on this CR-APP and go directly to local influencers whose philosophy matches your brand. All my contracts come from brands posting a call for influencers on their websites.

Because the best way to gauge if an influencer is fake isn’t to pay some scam company. It’s to pay the influencer a percentage of sales with their coupon code. Simple. If they’re fake you lose nothing: if they’re real you get customers. Don’t get scammed by Tribe and influencers, don’t waste your time. Tribe only wants fakes!

  • Scammy waste of time

Here is the deal I was suspicious going in and it was exactly what I expected. Numerous companies want you to buy their product to then submit photos for “consideration”. App companies want to lure users into paid downloads and don’t even bother to review submissions. By the looks of some apps it doesn’t seem like they have money to pay anyway.

The only non-scammy companies were for kids and maternity wear so men need not apply. This is another trend. Imagine a post “men only” you will have to do that because there absolutely are no posts of that nature lol.

During the time I was on this app I got 0 influencer gigs from the app, I got two plus one in the pipeline marketing myself.

  • Amazing way to be a pro active earner!

Love this app, particularly like how you can set your prices and you’re given a vague figure of what you should be charging for your following! You obviously run the risk of not being accepted but I only enter into campaigns where I already love and use the products or use it enough that purchasing it isn’t a problem! This means it doesn’t make a huge difference either way! Great clear briefs on what content to create and I’ve had great response from tribe whenever I’ve needed to ask a question! From what I see they just keep getting better and better campaigns. Really useful and has helped me a lot!

  • Pointless for Influencers

This app is only covers the company’s interests not the influencer. Without confirmation that you will get the deal, you have to purchase the product AND create the content. What a waste of time and money!
  • Used and abused by brands

When the right (cheap) product comes along from a big brand you’re in luck. They usually want a lot of submissions and have the budget to approve a lot of posts. Great.

Sadly, the app features too many small brands and high priced items. It doesn’t make sense to buy the product in most cases, and that’s why I think so many apps sign up to this form of marketing. I hardly doubt it’s the Instagram posts they want. They really just want influencers to buy their products. I feel rather mugged off using tribe and haven’t really used the app since being accepted from Takumi. An app where you don’t have to buy the products! 🙌🏻
