  • Needs some improvements

First of all thanks for making this application and thanks for keeping it free.
    App itself needs some improvements.
During capturing 360 photos on Phantom 4 application quits unexpectedly.
I have an iPhone 7 and it happens a lot.
I hope there will be some updates in the future.
Thanks again for a great app.

  • I really want this app to work

After 4-5 attempts, the app still isn't working for me. Running iPhone 6 and phantom 3 standard. The app will begin pan, then app crashes every time.
  • Thanks

It worked with the p3p. Thank you! Remember to open dji go first then switch to this app.
  • Happy Now

Phantom 4, iPad Air, latest firmware and software. App started then gave "can not adjust gimbal" and hung. Landed, calibrated gimbal, tried again with same failure. Joining FB group for support. Support group revealed issue with settings. It works as advertised. I do think when you choose the model the app should default to compatible settings.

  • Did not work

I tried it this morning for the first time and it did not work. The app closed out to the home screen 4 times. Tried on a P3P and an iPad mini 2. App and drone up to date on firmware. Bummer. I will try again soon.
  • APP CHANGES NEEDED PLEASE.......

This app would be perfect if they factored in the battery changes on the drones, the drone should pause the panorama then after battery change return to the next position for the next shot. Please work on this....
  • Ok, not perfect

Basic workflow is to calibrate and take off in DJI Go and check the quad is all good, I would then fly to my chosen location. I would then switch to F mode and then force close DJI. Open Dronepan and set up as required. Then start the pano. Once done, close Dronepan open DJI Go and switch the remote to P mode. This should then enable you to regain control.

The main issue is the drifting, GPS position doesn't hold when the app is taking the pano so when it comes to stitching, there are some issues and gaps. This isn't all time and totally depends on wind etc. I believe there is a fix in the works to solve this problem.

  • Awesome App

Works great with my DJI Phantom 3 standard. Wish there were more options, but for a free app, nothing else compares for this feature.
  • Not bad at all

A few people have commented they lost control of their drone with this app. I didn't with my DJI Phantom. I suggest the following workflow:

    - run DJI Go and fly to your location
    - force quit DJI Go (you won't lose control of your drone as the hardware controller will still be connected to it)
    - run DronePan
    - hit Start and let it do its thing
    - force quit DronePan when it's finished
    - run DJI Go and take back control

    This worked for me, anyway.

The app is intended to automate the process of capturing multiple images to create 360 degree panoramas. Note that it doesn't stitch the images for you; you'll need additional software to do that.

It works fine with two caveats:

    1) despite frequently recalibrating my IMU, my horizons never seem to be level, which rather messes up the stitching process. Not a fault of the app.

    2) the app seems to be aware of GPS use, but despite the drone holding its position in DJI Go, when I switched to DronePan it started to drift off course in the wind. Not disastrously but it meant the images weren't as clean as they could have been. Haven't yet worked out why this is.

For a free app this is very useful.

  • Do not use if you don't want your drone flies away

I used this app to take 360 panorama. I flew the drone up manually. Pressed start button to start capture. The app changed the gimble -90 degree then it flew the drone away from original position. I had to switch to P mode to get the drone back and landed it.
Do NOT use the app. You will lose your drone.
