  • Best coloring app out there!!!!!!

I love this app….. here are some pros and cons Pros: • if you want the full version you have to pay… but this isn’t an app where you have to pay to play kind of thing. You can work around it just fine without paying…. All you are really paying for is extra brushes and pictures to color. (You get the usual pen, air brush, and even a glitter pen!) • you can post your drawings you have made on the app, on the app. And basically find a community who enjoys art as much as you do! • it truly relaxes you! • you can listen to relaxing sounds, tunes, and water falls while drawing. And if you don’t like the music you can turn it off and on at any time! Cons: • if you like to draw like me you have to draw over coloring pages… the good thing is nobody can see the background color page if you turn off the lines before you post it. It would be nice to have a simple white sheet of paper thing but that’s ok. • this app is not talked about enough! I hope you buy this app! Seriously what are you waiting for?!?!?!?!??

  • Great tools but horrible pictures

I have been using ColorTherapy for about 4 years. It was great in the beginning but has gone terribly downhill. Their challenges are repeated over & over & over again, and the new pictures released to color are the same thing repeatedly as well. Do not use, or purchase this app, if you want to color anything other than people. Every challenge is based around fashion, or makeup, outfits, footwear, jewelry, nails, different odd colored skin, fairy and mermaids, odd eye colors, jackets, sunglasses, different colored hair, hats, and the list goes on & on. Also parents beware of all the questionable pictures and just posts of written words that can be offensive. ColorTherapy’s monitoring is lackluster at best and there are no ramifications if a user is expelled. They just create another account, even stating that they do so, and are allowed to continue. The app states it’s an “Adult Coloring Book” which couldn’t be further from the truth. Over the last year the app has had so many issues with crashing & freezing and has yet to be fixed. When I did try to contact support I received an automated response which really shows how much they care. The reason for 2 stars is that for premium subscribers the tools are great. ColorTherapy has the competition beat in that arena. However, which I do realize, some users only want to color other people. If that is the case then this app is for you… and you don’t mind all the freezing & crashing!

  • Great but…

This app is fun, but so much is wrong with it. First of all, the admin have WAY too much power and go on banning sprees. You can get banned for talking about mental health issues, violence (some people use this as a fanfic platform), etc. The worst part is that they don’t tell you why you got banned in the first place! They don’t tell you the rules on what you can or can’t post either. Second, it’s biased to the VIP users. 75% of the DTPs are vip users, and don’t get me wrong, they deserve it, but usually there are only two or three regular users who get it. The only free templates regular users can use are the daily ones that are only available for one day and the ones that are always free but those aren’t very fun. Finally, the membership is super overpriced. $15 a month comes out to $180 a year or about 50 cents a day. So if you want to actually be able to use the app, have fun paying enough to buy a week’s groceries for 3 people! This app is a cash grab. Usually on apps with a super expensive membership, there are no ads, right? Not with ColorTherapy! Ads. All. The. Time. ColorTherapy, if you want to keep you stop losing users, stop banning people for no reason. I don’t want one of your stupid auto replies, I want you to read this. Take it to heart. As for those thinking of getting this app, read the review a second time. Edit: so I got the price wrong sorry about that it’s actually 5 bucks a month not 15.

Hi there! Thanks for your honest feedback! We never lock or ban someone for no reason. We only take action when users are breaking our Community Guidelines. For minor mistakes, we only lock users temporarily. For more severe ones, we ban them forever. Users can always contact us directly from the app or via email and we can look up the reason for the lock/ban. // Please note, VIP options are not affected by the lock. Users can still color, use all the templates, color palettes, brushes, and effects. The Social Part of the app is free for all users and is not a part of a VIP subscription. Rules are the same for all users regardless of the status and we kindly ask everybody to respect them and follow. // VIP status removes the ads from third-parties on our app. The pop-up inside is not considered a third-party ad, it is a message from our developers.
  • The best app ever! But..

The best app ever I have been on her for years it’s so much fun and has a nice community. I loved it. But the past few months have have been getting blocked constantly and I had no idea why. Then I think I got banned forever :< I had no idea why. So I looked at the guidelines and I saw what I did wrong. It’s just bc I a drew a meme. Oh it kinda explains it. But I think that you should take into consideration that you have to make the guidelines clear I had to look it up to find out why I think i got blocked. Now I am banned tor who knows how long and all bc I didn’t know some of the guidelines. I didn’t mean to Spam at all I just didn’t know there were guidelines on that. Just make it more clear and if you are reading this Ig you know now not to post art with words and simple stick figures with funny moments form the lord of the rings moments-… Ig will not be able to play again :/

edit: I completely understand why you block people for spam, I mean it’s just not the way you wanted the app to be. But I think blocking them with no explanation and asking the person to reach out is just a hassle. Could you maybe do something about that.

  • A few issues.

This app is decent: you can color and draw almost anything, publish it and share with others, and more. However, there are a few issues.
The biggest problem with this app is the limits. There are only 4 out of 16 brushes you can use without buying VIP. And out of hundreds of color palettes, only about 15-20 of them are available without payment. Don't even get me started on the coloring templates. A HUGE majority of the options on this app you have to pay for, which is very disappointing. I know, the developers need the money, but come on. You can do a little better than have people pay for 90% of options.
Another huge issue is the lag. The lag is driving me insane. After the last couple updates, there is an excruciating delay. For example, when I'm trying to draw in a line, or fill in an area, it takes 5-10 seconds to actually color that area and catch up. You can imagine how annoying that gets if you're doing a detailed coloring.

Don't get me wrong, the app is pretty good, and I suppose it satisfies your creative drawing/coloring, but only to the bare minimum. Color Therapy is probably one of the better apps of its kind out there, but there could always be improvements.

  • You banned me?

Hey I’d just like to say thank you for taking the time to read my review! So I have played this game before and I did really like it, but then I was randomly banned? I did nothing, nothing at all! I personally think your banning system makes it too easy to ban someone for no reason at all, you can just ban people for without warning! And maybe if you could change it to writing down and telling you the reason for requesting a block that could help. And I know if you respond you’ll just say “Please contact our support” which is all good and fine except I can’t contact your support and honestly think if I can contact you from here than we can settle it here. Thanks so much for reading my review, and my apologies if I came off a bit rude I had no intention of my review being rude. Have a great day and please fix the blocking issue for me and many other users.- sincerely color -therapy user ❤️

Response to response: Thank you so much for responding and being so informative. I’m very glad to hear that my account will not be permanently blocked, and that I can continue using your wonderful app to express my creativity through coloring! Thanks again for your response and have a wonderful day!

  • Awesome but

This app is awesome it’s amazing I love it what is one problem is that when you want to color it yourself you have to get the VIP I think that should be a free option I think the VIP is if you want to make your own like to design your own portrait to color and for other people to color I don’t think it should be an idea for VIPs to color it themselves then just normal people who can’t afford the VIP or don’t wanna pay that much money because they know they’re not gonna use the app every single day to just color it now there are some portraits that do include you can color it for free or if you don’t have a VIP you can pay 10 coins to Cory self honestly I think either way is an OK idea I just believe the VIP option for your own coloring isn’t the best idea it’s good to give credit to the other artist for making that beautiful portrait and stuff but still it’s a great ad though and I started playing it again after a couple of months I’m not really liking it I just started playing it when I went to a concert in at my local park area and it was great but I was getting a bit bored so I decided to play it again and I fell in love so I would totally recommend

Thanks for your honest feedback! Coloring by Number mode doesn’t replace the usual coloring mode. When selecting a page, you can choose which mode you can color in. If the page is locked (VIP only), free users can color it in Coloring by Number mode instead.
  • 60$ a year? They are taking more then what they deserve

This is for people considering subscribing! I know the creators will ignore this and even if they did read it nothing would change so this is for you. I loved this app and I was subscribed for about a year but I had to unsubscribe for bills. And after unsubscribing I could no longer use tools besides paint bucket for challenges. I can do a limited amount of pics and tools that are not challenges but it’s basically useless to compete in challenges now when the only thing I can use is a stinking paint bucket. I felt like I was just thrown away. I’d rather pay once for a full experience instead of paying so much and then when I unsubscribe all of what I paid for doesn’t even matter because I won’t be able to use it anymore. An app like this isn’t worth $60 EVERY year. Because once you can’t pay that every year, they don’t care about you and all of what you paid for will be gone. I can buy new Xbox games for $60 once and get a full experience over and over again. All these phone apps are the same. Maybe if they stop overcharging people they could get a happy fan base going but it’s obvious what their intentions are.

  • Love this app!!

I’ve so far been on this app for 1 year and I can’t say anything except that it’s like no other coloring app! For 3/4 of the time, I was non-vip and it wasn’t like the bad comments said; they said things like, “we don’t have access, there are too little things”. To be honest, that isn’t true! Not only can you turn off lines to draw your own things, but you also have daily templates and challenges! The reason why I rated this four stars is because I have examined and read the community guidelines carefully so I don’t get banned again. The reason why I got banned is something I understand, but the thing is I’ve seen so many users break the rules as well, that I didn’t know it was wrong! When I asked them about it, it was a bit upsetting. I had to ask 2-3 times until they responded! I just wanted to write this comment for anyone thinking about getting this app. 💯 recommend for anyone who loves a positive, wonderful and relaxing app and community overall. Just a warning though: PLEASE read the guidelines carefully, sometimes a simple mistake can break the rules so try not to:) thank you if you read this ☺️

  • Let me clarify my star rating...

RESPONSE-I’m directing my comment towards the creator(s) of the app-the ones who decide what images are provided and what images are used for contests-I don’t need nor want to color images about socially divisive issues! There are sooo many other images that could be created/available for us to color without bringing all of that in. Please leave these charged issues out and make the change asap-You can do better for the many that use this app and be a calm in the chaos!

I come to this app to Relax-to escape from the craziness and chaos of the world, and often that’s exactly what happens-I color and relax and for a little while get yo focus on something that usually relieves some anxiety and stress-BUT...please leave all of the political and socially divisive issues off of the app and at the very least, out of the contests/competitions!!! I don’t want to get on the app thinking I’m going to have my own little bit of “color therapy” as the app is named, only to be bombarded by issues that cause myself and many others stress, anxiety, worry, panic, etc. The app is perfectly fine without what seems to be an ever increasing amount of, for lack of a better word, propaganda. Please remove these or I know myself and many others I know who use the app will have to find our coloring therapy elsewhere.
