Terrible App lately

This app never works anymore! I have to uninstall this app every time I try to open the app to read the book I’m reading. If I wasn’t enjoying the Author and the book I would just get rid of this app as I have to uninstall it and redownload load the app multiple times a day. If you don’t already use this app save yourself the trouble and find a different app to read books on.

Love the app!

This app is phenomenal for finding interesting stories and interacting with readers and authors. As an author, I enjoy interacting with my audience and making connections as well as seeing a variety of stories. Lately, lots of bugs have been happening which is annoying but overall, I’ve read some truly great stories on here.

Angie

I love this app. And have found amazing stories on it . But since this last update I’m not able to read. My iPhone is up to date and I clear out all open apps , but my screen just shows grey lines where the words are supposed to be. Nothing else not even the 3 lines in top right corner to move on author page. I have now uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3x and still having issue . I have also closed out my phone after uninstalling. Why is this happening.
PLEASE fix this so I can continue using it

Great App

Read books without hidden fees or them stopping you from reading the whole book!!!

Doesn’t load after login

I wanted to give this app a try, but I couldn’t because nothing past the login page would load. Yes, I was connected to the internet and it was functioning just fine, and the problem was not resolved. Tried again with mobile data, no changes.

And no, I don’t have an account—I find it foolish to sign up for something that doesn’t guarantee to work properly or be enjoyable. You don’t get that problem with print material so I expect it to be no different with digital content.

Either way, please fix your app. I will consider changing my rating if you do.

Good app 👍

I gave feedback in-app but I think I’d like to retract what I said there. The search feature is good actually. I would like to be able to exclude tags from search results though, because it seems no matter what I search, I will always get mafia romance in the results lol 😭 I would also still appreciate if it would give me slightly more specific results (IE if I search for #dystopian #romance I’m gonna get a lot of non-romance books, so it seems like romance is a light suggestion lol)
But the search feature isn’t useless at all, and does still take romance into account for example lol. Would like the possibility of making tags required or optional if that makes sense, but it’s still quite usable without such a feature.

I apologize for my confusion in my in-app feedback, I’d just woken up in the middle of the night and wasn’t 100%

I do also want to say that I love the content warning feature. That kind of thing is what other apps like Wattpad are incredibly lacking in. SO MANY people have stories about being traumatized as kids from surprise bad stuff like r*pe in stories, and I’ve personally dropped several good books because of surprise triggers, so the ability to hide stories with your specific content warnings is very very appreciated. It’s always very sad for me when I can’t manage to continue a book that I’ve already come to like :(

I’ll likely be using Inkitt more often going forward. Much love.

UX needs to be improved

I can’t deny this app has a lot of potential. The quality of stories is significantly better than other apps like Wattpad and Radish and the interface is nice. however the ux is horribly bad and has gotten worse over the years. There’s so many glitches when opening up stories on the app or in the inbox widget where you face a 10s delay or you don’t get automatic refresh when you go in and out of the app. The worse is the constant app crashes that cause you to have to restart a chapter or lose your story. It’s a painful user experience tbh.

Love it

This app is amazing. It has thousands of books. Some are advertisements to get you to go to another site to pay. Most of them are complete additions for free. It does have a few minor glitches like you can read the the end of each chapter or by tapping on icons, letting the author know if they had good character development, you loved it it was funny you know stuff like that but half the time you tap, and nothing shows up. You can also comment after every single chapter and the end of the book. You can write on the authors wall. You can see what other books the author has rated and recommendations from authors to authors. it even has features where you can subscribe and support the authors financially. It’s a great app with a big genre of books that are intriguing.

J’adore

Il y a peu de temps j’ai découvert cette application et je recommande fortement, c’est rafraîchissant de pouvoir lire des livres pour tout les goûts sans être obligé de s’abonner…. Ne changez rien à votre application c’est extrêmement apprécier 🤗

Too many glitches and horrible contact support

I have tried to write newer books but the glitches made it impossible. I would try to copy and paste it over from other apps I publish on and it would put text over text while also not showing the full text I copied. It would delete when I closed out the chapter. I can’t even delete the book entirely after I made a new one.

I have emailed the app months ago and I heard back from someone, I forget who, but they asked me to send information like my phone type and version of the app. After I told them, they said they will contact me back after they fixed the issue and I haven’t heard from them since. I deleted the app after that seeing how I couldn’t write on it. I just got it back and it’s STILL doing the same exact glitch.

It’s irritating and a waste of time. There are plenty of other writing apps that are better.
