Amazing app that is now plagued with ads
I have been using this app nearly daily for years and have gotten several people to use it as well.
Clean, low server issues and the patterns in the store only keep improving.
There are chances to receive in game currency by volunteering to watch a couple of daily ads as well as weekend sales on selected patterns. This app was great, 5 stars hands down.
Until the ads… I play this game to relax and destress, to methodically sit down and tap the darker shaded cell over and over.
Unfortunately as you’re playing and getting into a relaxed state of mind, ads start popping up, completely taking you out of the emergence of the game. Of course you can now BUY yourself out of these ads using in game currency that is WAY overpriced, forcing you to spend way more real money than what is reasonably asked for.
I understand subscriptions are this evil that everyone is climbing onboard to do now, even an ac and plumbing company recently tried signing me up on a subscription plan recently! But at some point, our job as consumers, we need to tell businesses, no.
This is getting out of hand, the developers of this game were doing it right, until now, making them part of the problem. It’s a shame, next stop will probably result in me uninstalling this well thought out game because the developers jumped on the subscription band wagon.Show lessJustin W.R.

Hi Justin, thank you for sharing your feedback, we will take a note of it! We just wanted to clarify that Cross-Stitch World does not use a subscription model in our game. If you make any purchase of Cross-Stitch Cash one time, this will also remove ads during gameplay permanently. We hope this helps.Fix - To Old iOS Users
I was also having the crashing issue that other old iOS users are reporting with 1 star ratings. As an original IPad Air owner, I clearly don’t want to trade in just to play a game.
Good news though! I emailed the developer and they got back relatively quickly. What they recommended, and what worked for me, was to delete the app and reinstall it. When you go to reinstall it will ask if you want to download an older version. You have to delete the app first, otherwise that pop up doesn’t work and will just keep asking you over and over again.
I’m back in the game, all data saved, and ready to keep playing every single day. Still have an issue that I can’t make my own patterns inside the app, have to switch to desktop for that.Show lessJulia's itouch
Great Fun
I am enjoying playing this but to my dismay the majority of pictures that were of medium size have just now changed to small size. My last two buys have remained at medium size. Please change them back to medium or explain why they changed. The previous size of the mediums was 140 x 140. I’m not happy at all with this change.Show lessJadePalace

Hi Jade, earlier this year we changed the names of our sizes - instead of just small, medium and large we now also have x-small and x-large, to help describe the size more precisely. This means the name of the size for some patterns will have changed - however, don't worry, the actual size is still exactly the same so you aren't missing out on any stitching; so if a pattern was 140 x 140 stitches before, it would still be 140 x 140. Got it a while ago, and I love it so much!
Whenever I want to pass time, I go ahead and use this app. Any of the designs take roughly an hour, and they’re super cute!
Would definitely recommend if you’re into these types of games and have quite a lot of time on your hands. Very addicting :)hal1iey
Amazing Game
I’ve just redownloaded Cross-Stitch World after getting a new phone. I always make it a priority to redownload Cross-Stitch World onto any new device I get, because it’s just such a good game. It’s so relaxing, especially when you can listen to your own music in the background as you ‘colour in’ the pictures. One of the only games I have spent money on to get more pictures. Not getting pictures from friends
September 17, 2023 … As my title reads, last few days I’m not getting mail from my friends.
Also, WHERE IS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW? I wrote a review a long time ago. I played this on FB years ago! I started about a yr after release. Then when app came out, I switched to iOS instead, I don’t really use fb anymore.
I recommend this app!!! I’ve been playing I think 6 yrs? It’s the very first and best cross stitch app! You get to upload ur own pic once a day. You get to choose one pic from your friends in ur mail. They constantly have fair pricing on their SALE packs, which they do twice a week. We get two free pics from the devs 2 x a week. The custom settings r awesome too!
There are MANY fb groups for this app to add friends to get free pics, and they offer free pics to use. U just use pics from ur tablet pics to use. Easy peasy! I along many other people, use Pinterest to find pics.Show lessvampcherie
Keeps closing
Much as I love this game I am very frustrated at the fact that when I click on the icon to open it, it just keeps closing. I can’t even get into the game to contact the developers. I am afraid to delete and reinstall because I purchased a ton of credit and am afraid I’ll lose it allFayfun

Can you please up the daily money? I have to wait ages just to afford a pack! As someone that can’t afford to buy anything it’s just not fair to those who can’t afford anything! PLEASE!!!! It’s the only thing I hate about this game. P.S. The game is glitchy! It takes a few seconds for the stitches to appear. I have to click on another stitch for the previous one to work. Please come back and update again!
P.S. I updated my phone and it keeps showing the rotate phone screen. It never happened before. Please fix it! I don’t want to have to keep changing the sound lock button to an orientation button.Show lessShaniceR24
Cross stitch fun.
Love this game. Fun and relaxing. But would appreciate a few more free pictures and maybe more earned credits for created patterns. Please help. Its getting more difficult to load on my ipad, sometimes as much as five attempts. It starts to load then just quits. Still love this app. However, it would be improved if the pictures waiting to be solved in the VIEW ALL ALBUM were a little larger, making it easier to see and select which ones to pick. I LOVE THE XL MYSTERY PUZZLES, BUT I AFRAID I WILL REPURCHASE ONES I’VE ALREADY BOUGHT. COULD MY PROFILE LIST PREVIOUS PURCHASES SINCE YOU CAN NOT CHECK THE CONTENTS OF THE MYSTERY ONES.Show lessdeiree3
Wonderfully relaxing
This app is amazing for relaxing. I know it is called Cross Stitch World, but when I am holding a stylus tapping the spots for colors it reminds me so much more of diamond painting, which is not a bad thing at all (Might be a neat add to give an option for diamond square instead of the thread crosses). I am totally addicted and in love with this app. I have played for hours and have seen no ads, nothing to disrupt the calming effects. Creating patterns with my own pictures is such fun, and there are a ton of amazing pictures in the store as well. The amount of relax time you get for the cost of the cross stitch world cash is amazing… for less than the price of a 2 hour movie in the theater with snacks you get enough points to make at least 4-5 patterns that will give 2-3 hours entertainment and relaxation each.
