I’ve been playing for a few months. I’ve paid out $60 due to slow getting coins to build up on my house and unlock the other side of the town etc. When your mayor retires, there is a 2 day glitch of no new tasks, cave doesn’t get new items and neither does the general store. The story line drags out as to where the mayor went and the function of the stone hedge. No new clues for quite awhile. I contacted tech support and they admitted there was no fixes that could be done and will be no updates. I’m on 4th mayor now and 3 days of glitches afterward of no cave treasures, general store items don’t change, no tasks, etc. The designer abandoned the game fixes so you have to tolerate it all. The city hall items never seem to change so you are limited items to make your town nice.
So I’ve been playing virtual villagers and families for years on and off. I believe the first game I ever downloaded was one of those. Fast forward to 2023, I’ve had town downloaded for years but never got to playing it until now. Well, sadly I don’t e how I can play. The game is very finicky and the character I adopted moves really slow. It just took me 5 minutes to walk from the center of town to the green lawn on the left side of it. This isn’t the quality I’m use to from this developer. All the other virtual games they’ve made work just fine. I don’t understand how in 23’ this game isn’t playable? 🤦🏼♀️ I will try it again though. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, although I’m not sure how. I double tap a spot to have my character run to but she moves so slow and the app is just finicky. If I click on details of something it takes the pop up screen with those details quite a bit to actually show up. Idk it’s shaky and just doesn’t run right. It’s not like the others. I wish it were. I was looking forward to this one, but I guess I’ll just go replay the others if this one won’t work. If it does turn out that it’s me doing something wrong I will gladly update this review. It doesn’t appear that there’s been many recent reviews either and unless I’m seeing it wrong there’s been no updates for this game in 7 years either which is really a bummer. Such a shame. I’m hoping maybe that will change but after 7 years idk 🤷🏼♀️
So far the game was doing good. But after playing for almost about a week, the system just stopped working. Usually the next day you get new citizen tasks and clean up the town and I had my citizens working on the beach and it only had one day left. But after i believe the 7th or 6th day of playing, the new day still hasn’t started and i’m still stuck on the same day. My citizens are still working on the beach, the stores haven’t reset, the only change is that the grass grows rapidly. And I’m infuriated because i spent some money on here which I’m hoping that i can get refunded by apple, and they’re not the most trustworthy when it comes to getting your money back. Honestly this game had so much potential yet i guess the creators abandoned it. I don’t understand why you don’t just take it off the App store instead of wasting people’s time and money. Do not download this game for it doesn’t work.
I like this game. Im not sure if the developers just gave up with this game but it has way more potential than they may think. If they ever consider updates, they should add more conversations/ convo options, citizens move in and have children, more land that gets unlocked when you finish building the broken down stuff in the original town, a restaurant where you sell all the fruits and veggies to- citizens work there. You should also be able to have a chance to work there every once in a while for extra coins. Upgrades. You can upgrade the boutique to a regular store and then eventually a mall. You should be able to edit your office. Citizens should go in the stores every once in a while for realism. Animals should also be added but mainly small animals that you could adopt. I’m probably writing this for nothing but once again, its just a suggestion. Ive already finished the game and it took me about two weeks to do. These add ons would keep people playing.
I have enjoyed playing this game for the past Several weeks. Sadly, however, there is no ending. With virtual villagers you kinda had a bit of closure you completed the different tasks and there was a time and place where you felt like there was closure. With Virtual Town you can never reach that point. There is no updates. You never get to finish the storyline, you don’t get to build the coliseum. You never get to use the movie theater or continue to build up your town. I hope they come back to this game and give us closure to the storyline and add more tasks and things to do. It would be cool to be able to build relationships, add more business, get married etc. I don’t see that happening since there isn’t really anything new posted about this game online since 2016 😩
This game is so much fun! There is so much to do to keep you busy. I love games like this. Yes, the game is a bit older so the graphics are bit outdated but that doesn’t stop me from playing. In fact it’s great that the graphics aren’t to crazy so it makes the game run very smooth. And adopting the kids is always fun. I actually just redownloaded the game because I used to play it all the time when I was younger on my tablet and I got so much nostalgia thinking about it so I redownloaded it and I am obsessed again. Thank you for making such a amazing game. ❤️😁
Like the title I wrote above, this game is very fun but super annoying! I wait every day to be able to adopt kids, and they are never there. The music is very gloomy (I don’t know if it gets better over time or if it changes when the town is pretty enough) and I can never watch an add at the movie theater thing when it even says NOW PLAYING. I don’t get it. I’ve had this game for a while now and I can’t adopt any kids when I used to be able to adopt them on like the second day of me playing. It is also really hard to find bugs. Bad luck maybe? I don’t know if I have to do something before I can get these things but if I do, I am so sorry 😅. Thanks for reading this petty? Complaint and I hope you have a good day!

Hi! I want to start with the people saying that they’re broke, if you’re broke, just plant loads of food, the money you get from selling food is 10$ it costs 15$ to buy seeds from the general store, the seeds allows you to plant 5 food, which means you get 50$. The gain is 35$ per 15$, hope this helps!
Also, this game is really fun, a great time passer, I love the interactions with your towns people, but I’d like to ask if we can get married? Also, maybe be able to house more people? I was expecting to be visited by the adoption person at age 24 on this game but when my person was 24 or that age the adoption person never came I can not call em and they are never coming and I am about to retire and if I do not have a child soon then I will have to rest my game so I suggest there should be a easier way to call them and make it free and we show have better looking kids and adults and we should be able to get married to people and have their own family that is not adopted also their should be a way to get money without spending your real life money and you should have a way to do tasks that you are able to do in real life so that is a lot your game needs to be good or I am permanently deleting it and never gonna think about it again!!!!!!!!

I have no complaints about this game, but I would love if you could consider adding at least one of the following suggestions. 🐾Pets!🐾: Pets would be a great addition to the game, because then more people would download the game! Plus, everyone loves a little furry friend! 🐶🐱. 👨👩👧👦Families!👨👩👧👦: Another great addition to the game; families! Instead of just having a single kid, you could have an entire family. This would be an update that everyone would love! So please consider adding these to the game! -Riley
