Price History of Cueist

Description of Cueist

The worldwide hit pool/snooker game first seen on the Apple TV arrives on iOS, and now playable in Virtual Reality! Cueist brings the atmosphere and realism of your favourite cue sports to your mobile device. 8 Ball, 9 Ball, UK 8 Ball and Snooker games are included, along with custom pool tables to play them on. Previously unseen in this type of game - jump shots, curve shots, screw shots and other spin shots are simple to attempt using only swipes, taps and device tilt. Simple to attempt but tricky to perfect. Just like the real thing. As well as human vs human matches, you can play against a variety of CPU controlled opponents of increasing skill levels. Or start a CPU vs CPU game so you can relax and concentrate on your camera work.

  • Deserves zero stars

    Nearly unplayable. Very very bad.
  • Frustrating !!!

The only thing going for this app are the graphics. The gameplay and the vague instructions make it a disappointment. No need to reinvent the wheel. With such good graphics makes one wonder what went wrong with the dismal game physics. Compared to Virtual Pool 4 this a real flop
  • Not good

There is only one truly good pool game for iOS and that is Pool Break. I originally got this game on my Apple TV. I think the developer of this game REALLY wants you to use a controller because on tvOS with the SIRI remote the game is unplayable. You’re supposed to be able to aim by tilting the remote. This does work to make the aiming lines appear but to move it around is impossible. This iOS version is even worse because touch should be easier than this. It is to easy to initiate an errant shot and aiming, forget it.

I also think the Spartan help and the size of the fonts are hinderances. It is almost impossible to read the guidance on screen on my iPhone 11. The graphics are good. Gameplay not so much. Get Pool Break it’s fully baked. Cueist ain’t.
