ZeeMee’s send button stays a light blue (the color that means you can’t push to send, typically only this color when there’s nothing in the type field) and won’t allow me to send the messages I type. I tried restarting my phone, twice, and it stayed the same. Then I deleted and reinstalled the app, twice, and it still won’t allow me to send messages. After I reinstalled the app, though, I also can’t view any of my previous dm’s, they’re all gone, and I can’t view the social or college channels I had access to before, they are there where I can click on them, but the screen all come up as white, and have no messages. ZeeMee, you need to figure out this problem, and get your act together, please. I used to like the app, and the only problem I had was my dm’s only loading back to a certain point, but this is the second time I’ve had this aforementioned problem, please fix this, I want to use the app.Show lesssnacksophone

I'm so sorry you're having issues with chat. Having your old DMs after a delete and reinstall is one of the improvements in our huge chat upgrade next month. Great idea, my only problems are the ease of navigation and the notifications. For navigation, you have to use the right hand bar to go through chats, which is fine, but when the only way to exit the chat is a button in the top left it become a two handed task that’s kinda a pain. The notifications problem is that it is hard to disable. Everything comes turned on, so you have to turn everything off by hand which can be a lot. There are even options that say it will modify for the whole group/app, but it doesn’t work. So unless you go through each channel, it’s either all notifs on or all off.Show lessDesdinova12
Wish I could choose more than one gender I could form with
I really like the app so far: it’s pretty easy to navigate, the concept is nice, it’s good all around. The only problem comes when you’re asked to choose the gender you most closely identify with, and which one you’d like to dorm with. I’m non-binary but I was born a girl and feel most comfortable around girls. Problem is, unless someone is specifically looking to dorm with someone of my gender, it’s hard to match up with people. It’s a similar issue on my end, too. I’m happy to dorm with either girls or non-binary people but the app makes me choose one or the other. It would be nice if you could choose multiples in both what gender you identify with and in which gender you’d like to room with—it would make it a lot easier to find potential matches. Again, great app but I think changing this feature would make finding a roommate a lot easier for people like me!Show lessSplendaSister
Additions to Make to the App!

ZeeMee is a wonderful app, especially to find a roommate, however, I feel that there are two things that can be added. First, ethnicity. When you make an account, you could be given an option to pick your ethnicity. I feel that this would be super beneficial for anyone looking for a roommate with the same ethnic background and it can filter them out. It would be best if there could be a button to see all individuals under the chosen ethnicity. In addition, I feel that the same can be done for a category of religion. There can also be an option like “choose not to answer” or “not religious” for those who don’t necessarily follow religion. Nonetheless, it would be great to distinguish those people, especially if you’d like to make friends/find a roommate with the same religion and/or cultural background!

ZeeMee is pretty good
I generally avoid social media and social media-adjacent things, but I decided to try out ZeeMee since my college uses it. It gave me easy contact to admissions officers, student representatives, etc. and allowed me to join chats with accepted students. Pretty standard, what it says on the tin.
I have two small issues though.
Number one, the process to upload a photo of my acceptance letter (and therefore join the chats for my college) was a bit finicky. It took me a good dozen tries over the course of 3 days to upload it. Yeah, I have slow wifi but it kept on just closing the upload window, which I don’t think was my Wi-Fi’s fault.
Number two, please add a dark mode. I get up really early (5:30 usually) and I like to see what’s up with my college while I take the bus. It’s not the biggest issue of all time, but I’d appreciate the option to turn on dark mode or a reduce white point mode to reduce eye strain early in the morning.
Overall, good app for up-and-coming college students, just needs a few QOL tweaks.Show lessEnbyDM
Good app, but creeps…
The app is good don’t get me wrong, and it’s nice seeing people from around my hometown using the app. But I was getting messages from random bots and people asking if they could use my face for their pleasure, and I kept getting called names like “beautiful” and “gorgeous” from like 40 year olds. They obviously didn’t try to hide themselves because their bios had their age and their pfp’s looked old. I don’t recommend this app tbh…Show less-Dog Lover
I really don’t think it’s that great.
Using the app I’ve been exposed to more outright scams, and harassments than on any other sight. I feel while using the sight a sort of exposed that just doesn’t feel right. I don’t mind messaging people, but I really don’t like my phone blowing up with notifications about things I could care rather less about.Show lesscrate_cat
internet safety
i originally didn’t have a problem including my high school, hometown, and last name, but i soon became uncomfortable with everyone knowing this information. with the recent increase of bots trying to scam everyone, i decided to take it out of my profile. however, i found out that i can’t delete ANY of it after putting it in. if i could go back before i answered this information about myself, i would.

great but some complaints
1. i love using this!! as a college applicant and now committed student this was so fun to talk to people outside of my school, state, and country!! i have fun connecting with students before i meet them when i start school!!
2. interface: only in english and notifications. i wish the interface worked with other languages!! it would be so much better and connective if it wasn’t only in english!! and with notifications, my community notifications always say “9+” even when i clear everything!! latter is less important but could be a bug!! still a recommendation for this app!!Show lessK_11_19_20
