RNG Ruins It Every Time
Needlessly frustrating for what could be a fun game. The random number generator can and will decide to kill you at any moment. For example, as a level 2 character, a level 13 leprechaun might teleport to your location and kill you instantly. In my opinion, this is bad game design. For a skilled player, a game should present no unwinnable situations. Continuing, there is a level 40 cap on you, but no such cap on enemies. Documentation is extensive, but some things aren't explained anywhere. What does 'sanctify' mean, for example? Finally, for such a simple game, Pathos absolutely destroys battery life.Show lessCool Fool Pool Drool
Best Features In Any Game
I love this game to bits, been playing for a while now, each run is always unique and fun. There’s so many character options for race and class, and then you have the chance to run into your old dead characters while playing and loot them? It’s really unique and fun! Great work and not quite what I wanted
There is clearly lots of excellent work here and many elements true to the version I remember playing. There is good documentation as well. Character creation is very good though stats seem non random (re-rolls often very poor).
I find a few things frustrating:
- when buying things you cannot see what you are getting.
- when using equipment that was left by someone I hired, it can be cursed.
- there are quite a few odd gotchas (workbenches can blind you)
