  • Very limited functions, it could be better!

It re-opens the current page from safari to sidefari, but not open directly to sidefari, it's a little odd, maybe its not possible because the safari api. And i prefer bookmarks more than histories, or better, a safari homescreen. Anyway, it's better than other multitasking browsers.
  • A dream

Makes up for a pretty big oversight on Apple's part. Highly recommended!
  • Doesn't work

Doesn't open any webpage. Wasted my money
  • surf monster

great with the ipad pro....apple needs to wake up & start improving ios
    (add this to safari)!
  • Excellent addition to Safari

This is an excellent addtion to Safari when used in Split View mode. It's not trying to be a complete browser so there are some missing features that a regular browser would have like bookmarks, tabs and an editable URL bar. This apps simple job is to provide access to the Safari View Controller in another window so you can use the features of Safari like access to the Nitro JS engine, content blockers and your saved passwords.

If all you need is a 2nd window to push a link, this is the best option you can get.

  • Great companion to Safari

I'm a bit confused by the negative reviews from a small few who obvious don't understand the purpose of this app. It's not promised to be a full fledged web browser...but a companion piece to Safari. If you need a split screen web browser then using Chrome or Firefox is a better choice. The point of this app is for folks, like myself, who will be working in Safari...have a webpage you need open in split view next to another tab you have going, click the share button, select to send it to this app and have it available in your split view. Think of it more like an extension to Safari.

The app works great and fills a need I have all the time. Kudos to the developer for thinking of this simple, needed solution.

  • Very good

I prefer this app to the alternative of downloading another browser as some have suggested. Apple will almost certainly implement something similar to the functionality of this app in a future update and if you prefer waiting rather than spending 79p then that is your decision.
  • Complete waste of money.

This is not a web browser at all. It is a horrible companion. It's easier to use safari and Firefox together than this very limited attempt at an "add-on". I will be requesting a refund.
  • It does exactly what I need it to do

It would be great if Apple incorporated the ability to run multiple instances of the same app in split-view. However, since this is not an option at this time, apps like Sidefari will have to do it for them.
  • Just what I wanted.

Since multitasking became available I was hoping someone would make this. Having to webpages open side-by-side with all of the Safari features is excellent!
