Hitch Bermuda Driver

HITCH Bermuda Driver is an application for taxi drivers that allows them to use Bermuda's first electronic taxi booking app putting drivers in direct contact with customers. HITCH Driver Console allows drivers to create an account, accept customer requests, and earn additional money from HITCH customers. When the HITCH Driver Console app is running, it will notify drivers when a booking is requested. Drivers will be able to accept the booking with one touch of a button. At the end of each ride HITCH will automatically bill the passenger’s credit card, tip included! This application is only for licensed taxi drivers in Bermuda. In order to register you will need a valid Public Service Vehicle License, a current Taxi License, and a valid Bermuda bank account. Should you wish you use HITCH to book a taxi, please download "HITCH" for customers which can be found in the App Store. This App uses GPS, continued use of which running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. HOW DOES HITCH WORK? HITCH allows customers to book a taxi and drivers to instantly accept bookings, all from a mobile phone. After the app is installed, drivers will be asked to register for an account. Once your account is active, when the HITCH app is running, it will notify drivers when a booking is requested. Drivers will be able to accept the booking with one touch of a button. At the end of each ride, the driver will indicate via the app that the ride is complete and HITCH will automatically bill the passenger’s credit card, tip included. Customers and drivers will have the ability to rate each other for the ride. How to register? HITCH makes registration easy and the entire process can be completed with your mobile phone. To register, download the "HITCH Driver Console" app, register for an account, confirm your mobile phone number via text message. You will receive an email with a link to submit a photo of your PSV License, Taxi Registration, Photo of Taxi, and current bank account. Once your registration is confirmed, you can log into the app and begin serving HITCH customers immediately. It’s that simple! Drivers can choose to accept or reject the booking depending on their availability. If the driver accepts, HITCH will provide the customer’s name and contact information, as well as their location, making it easy for the driver to find the customer. The app directly connects to phone and e-mail services to allow drivers to quickly and easily get the help they need. Drivers can access frequently asked questions and view a history of their bookings via the hitch app Seamless connectivity: HITCH puts drivers in direct contact with customers, ensuring that drivers are aware of new potential bookings instantly as they are requested. HITCH is simple to operate and can be used in addition to your existing GPS system as a way to help taxi drivers to get access to more work. Billing system: HITCH provides drivers with a convenient, detailed electronic billing system, reducing the need to carry cash and ensuring payment from customers. Funds are deposited to the driver’s bank account twice a week. Safer Environment: With less cash on hand and passenger information at their fingertips, HITCH significantly reduces the risk of crime, keeping drivers safer. Cancellation fees: Cancellation fees are automatically charged to customers if they cancel their booking, so drivers are compensated for confirmed bookings.
