So a lot of the behavior in your apps is controlled by the server. Like, for Whirred, we write code for a new bonus, and update the server, and when the app opens it downloads a list of bonuses and if there's a new bonus it will download the icon for it. This lets us add new things without shipping a new version of the app. Coolbeans!
But the flip side is that sometimes we ship versions of the app that have no new features, but actually enable new functionality that we'll turn on when we're ready. So officially this app HAS NO NEW FEATURES! But unofficially, it has a secret feature that will suddenly just appear when we flick a switch on the server.
