Great App but needs a key feature
This app words great, I had no problems use the rule feature or locating my address. My only problem with the app is there is no key on the map, because of this I donโt know what the yellow or red areas mean. Developers can you please add this or tell me in response pls.
Very useful
Constantly improving.
Orange and red zones are very handy. Please add a decode for what they mean somewhere on the interface. Only mentioning it in what's new notes is inadequate.

Hi -- try using the ruler feature. Press two fingers on the map at the same time. You can measure distances between any two points. You can do a street address search to check airspace from any point: a pin will appear on the map. A 5.5km circle will appear around that; you can also use the ruler here. The latest update also shows the new airspace in AC Part 101.
Brilliant and easy to use.
I use this app for the aerodrome boundary distances and then OZrunways to avoid restricted airspace and monitor the correct CTAF frequencies. These are the best apps to follow the casa guidelines on the use of RPAS in Australia. Great work Rowan and the team.
Great!
Not sure what the first guy was on about but this app is perfect for drone pilots to show exactly where you can fly to be legal. I use it all the time because I do not want to get a CASA fine! If you've got a drone, get this app.

The other review saying dangerous is incorrect. CASR says 3nm from aerodrome. It's Airservices Australia who have come up with the aerodrome boundary interpretation for towered aerodromes, which this app now shows. CASA are currently making individual determinations specific to each company so please don't make statements about *your* rule interpretation that may mislead others. The app now has plenty of tools to measure distances from towered (red) and non towered aerodromes, so you can work out how to comply with regulations specific to your ops. As we get more industry guidance from CASA we'll keep updating the tools to assist.

Excellent! If you fly RPAS you need this app
This app is exactly what the RPAS industry in Australia has been waiting for. The oz runways guys have done an excellent job with this. Applies the CASR Part 101 rules and the air services interpretation (3nm from boundaries). Would be great to have boundaries for non-controlled airfields too but seems as though that data isnโt held by airservices or CASA, so not the oz runways teams fault - plus with the ruler tool you can figure that out for yourself. Highly recommended.

DANGEROUSLY MISLEADING
This app seems dangerously misleading. CASA has advised that 3nm is measured from movement areas of the aerodrome. Tha app has taken the lazy approach and only measures from central location of aerodrome, which means it states some areas are legal to fly in when clearly not. Take Commonwealth Avenue bridge in Canberra. App says safe to fly, Airservices charts and Google maps measurement from closest runway shows clearly within 3nm.
