Yes the app does well blocking Trump related content, thank you for that. Unfortunately it also blocks content and websites completely unrelated to Trump, so sadly I had to delete the app because my nearly all of my searches were being blocked.
Works - mostly
At first the filter didn't work when I tried it on CNN.com. I went and checked my settings and realized that I had added CNN to the whitelist (settings/Safari/settings for websites/content blockers).
Once I enabled CNN to use contact blockers, 10 out if 13 Trump references disappeared. I tried some others news sites and it varied. 7 out of 11 Trump mentions blocked on Foxnews. Didn't seem to work at all on Apnews.com.
For $.99, not bad. I could pretty much replicate this with an adguard filter, though it's easier to turn this filter on/off.

I got this mostly for SmartNews and Google news. But it doesn’t work on any of them.

This Trump blocker doesn’t work. I have an iPhone 8 Plus using Safari 12.3.1. I went into Settings, went to Safari, went to Content Blockers, and turned this app on. It flat-out allows any and all Trump content through.
Best $0.99 I’ve spent here
It has the limitations others have mentioned. But prolly more effective than the exorcism I was gonna try next.

Don’t believe those 1 star people. You do have to open the news websites in Safari. You can’t just open with the app of the news site.

but can you restrict it to just “trump?” i disvcovered today it also blocks “trumpet.” was wanting pictures of trumpet lilies. had to turn you off for a bit. 🤣 but its overall just what i wanted.
