On newer devices, in selfie mode, this requires that we use ARKit's Face Tracking mode. We do not utilize your True Depth face data, nor do we store it anywhere. The only data used is the outline of your body, so we can apply filters to it. Read more about our privacy policy here — hyperspektiv.com/privacy

Reviews of HYPERSPEKTIV

  • Used to be awesome…

This app used to be awesome, even the free version had many great effect filters that turned the most mundane videos into epic videos.

But I’m pretty sure the developers gave up on it, forgot about it, lost their password to be able to access it, or maybe even are no longer with us. One of those. Because not only has there been no update — not even a minor bug fix update or anything — in FIVE MONTHS, but now the app does not export videos! It “exports” videos as just blank black screen…

It’s really sad because this was the best app for fun and cool effect filters I could find, and now it doesn’t work, and based on the 5 months of no updates I’m guessing it likely won’t ever work again.
  • NOT HAPPY

Like a few people who have commented on here, I paid for this app in the beginning and
then it turned to subscription-based like many apps do, and instead of grandfathering their clients into the entire app, they decided to make them have to pay a subscription just like all the new customers. I was not happy about this and I contacted the developers. They were very generous and gave me three months free. I was happy with that, because their subscription price was really not that much at the time, and I figured that I do own a few apps that every month I buy an in- app purchase and I could support them because I thought that they would have new features monthly , and that a couple dollars a month will help out the developers bring these new features. No. I stopped paying monthly because the price was far too high for getting absolutely nothing. If you look in the description, it says new filters monthly and access to many different other supposedly fabulous things that only happen if you subscribe. So I subscribed for a few months, and then nothing happened. No filters, nothing. If you look at their version history, they had a bug fix last month.
The last update before that was a year ago. then another update I believe two years ago. So, they stopped updating it, but still want you to pay monthly. Nah, I will pass. I despise subscription based apps.
  • WT actual F

I’ve been a paid subscriber for years, I wanna say since like 2016, and I’ve been on the yearly subscription since it became available. The first couple of years it felt “worth it” because practically every month they rolled out at least 1 new feature/filter. Some time around or just before the pandemic began that changed. No new filters or releases. That’s cool tho, I’d built up quite the library of my own filters I’d created. Then this past June or July every time I’d open the app I’d get between 2-10 minutes before it would freeze up. On some occasions the app would recognize my pressing buttons because it would show the little visual “boop” where my finger had tapped, but the image would remain frozen. I’d then just have to close and restart the app, so I could get another 2-10 minutes. Other times tho, it became completely unresponsive and wouldn’t even let me close/exit the app & I would have to do a force restart. I’d gotten so used to this being the norm for this particular app that it no longer phased me. It wasn’t until I explained all this to a friend of mine & she gave me one of those stares that blatantly lets you know you’re an idiot…that I realized I’ve been paying a not insignificant amount of $ for an app that not only hasn’t released anything new in forever, but has become all but unusable. I’m hoping the developers find a way to fix it because when it used to work, I got a lot of use out of it.
