  • Does not connect

    Absolutely does not work. iPhone 6s+ and latest iOS. Got this drone and camera for Christmas and will be returning it. Totally let down that this does not work as advertised, very disappointed.
  • Does not work...same error as others

    Using iPhone 7 Plus with latest software update. CGO2 app does not connect at all. Tried the CGO app. I can see the image from camera on the CGO app, but I get the same errors described by Chris on 22 Nov 16. The app reports "Please install SD card" and "Change camera mode failed, Unknown error." I called Horizon Hobby and Yuneec. Both told me to delete and reinstall app...that doesn't work. CGO2 camera firmware update doesn't work. Both claimed to have never heard of the problem and told me to report issue to Apple. I asked if Yuneec planned on updating the App and they said no because there isn't a problem (he said there are people there at Yuneec that use the app just fine on the iPhone). I told him there are multiple people online complaining about the same issue. Zero resolution on this issue. My next drone and camera will be from a different manufacturer.

  • Yuneec poor customer service..

    Contacted yuneec customer service ref to CGO2 app not working. They reply make sure I use CGO app and have class 10 sd card. I can see the image on my iPhone 6 ; but does not see sd card. Unable to record.
  • Does not recognize SD card

    SD card is not recognized by the camera so you can't make pictures or take videos. So the camera is pretty much useless.
  • No longer usable

    This appears to replace the older CGO2 app (which no longer connects to a CGO2 camera) and does connect to the CGO2 camera. But it doesn't recognize that there is an SD card in the camera, and other than displaying an image of what the camera sees, it doesn't do anything. You can't change any settings, and you can't take photos or videos either. Which means if you have a SteadyGrip, it's useless too. Yuneec burned bright for a while, but it seems they've only interested in selling new products, not supporting those their customers have already bought... :-(

  • Does not work properly

    I have a CGO2-GB camera, and was directed to use this app by Yuneec support. When using this version of the app, it reports "Please install SD card", even though one is already installed in the camera. When attempting to change the camera mode from video to photo, the app reports "Change camera mode failed,Unknown error.". I tried this with an old iPhone that still has iOS 8.3 installed and the behavior is the same. Thankfully, the CGO2 app still works ok on iOS8.3 (but not on iOS 10.2).

  • Junk app and products

    So many better choices out there, this company continues to lie about why this app does not function with their product. Go with a company that stands behind their products like GoPro or DJI.
  • Videographer

    I haven't had too many problems with the app. It does what it says. Sometimes it loses connection with my ActionCam and that's kind of annoying, especially while I'm recording.

    Here are a few firmware updates I would love to see soon:

    1. Battery status. The flashing light on the pistol grip doesn't cut it.

    2. Recording time left on the sd card. Right now it just tells you how much space is left on the card. Why can't the app do some math and tell me how much time I've got left in minutes?

    3. Custom white balance. The presets are pretty good, but some shooting situations need to be dialed in. Yes, you can fix it in post, but it's nice to get it right in the field.

    Optional wish list:
    4. Live streaming. I know this one is tricky, but the DGI Osmo can stream to Periscope so why can't Yuneec?

    5. Time lapse: not a deal breaker, but just nice to have.

  • Love it when it works..... but it rarely does...?

    So I was really excited to use this thought it would take and capture great video and pictures. However now I've literally only got to work handful of times while I was close to my home, but when taking it anywhere else where a signal or video is not perfect it literally will not connect. Not sure what the problem is but I'll probably contact unique soon to find out what the issue really is about.

  • Hate to say it.

    Sadly this app, or this updated version of the app, keeps crashing.
    Hoping for a fix soon.
    Really want to use my new SteadyGrip!
