Reviews of Quidd

  • Was a good app, now it’s pretty awful. (Updated)

(April) I’d like to start by saying I’ve had the app since it’s release years ago. Recently my account got locked/banned for using the app as intended. Right after I made a nice big sale of decent value, my account was locked. I’ve also tired to reach out to their support team only to never get a reply. So I’ll no longer be using the app as I can’t even if I wanted to. On a separate note, the app has just became a big cash grab. There’s nothing you can get/do for free, you have to put money into the app to really get anything you’d actually want. They don’t put anything new anymore, maybe one or two releases a month, and the only way to get them is with money not the in app currency that is now worthless. They started off good but it’s taken a hard fall for the worst. The only people that’ll be using the app in the future are NFT investors. Even then I don’t think people will use it because they’re developing their own crypto that they’ll force everyone to use as well.

    (Update)
7 months later and my accounts still “locked”. I decided to attempt to contact customer support again, we’ll see how that goes. I’m to believe they’re just out to steal peoples money at this point. I had made a significant amount of money and that’s when my account was locked, so take that as you will. I’d give a negative star rating if I could. Whatever you do don’t put money in, you’ll never see it again.
  • Not What It Used To Be

I miss the old Quidd when you could buy packs for coins. I doubt that making everything cash only is beneficial but that’s the direction Quidd has decided to go and they also claim that they might be doing away with coins altogether. It’s fun to buy stuff with coins but I’m only using the app to make money. I’ve sold much of my collection from over the years and I’ve made close to $500 but if you’re just now joining, it’s impossible to amass that kind of collection without spending real money. On top of that, as of this writing, there are literally only a handful of licenses that Quidd still has. Marvel, Funko, Power Rangers, Crunchyroll, Adventure Time, DC, and Minions we’re all licenses that were active at one point and now they’re all gone. Quidd claims to be on the verge of big things, but it doesn’t feel like it. I have seen a steady decline in both my cash and coin listings which just tells me that people aren’t interested in Quidd anymore. Lastly, their support is awful. I’ve opened several tickets and tried to reach out over email and their Zendesk and they just ignore me and mark my tickets as resolved. It’s disgraceful. The only fun thing about Quidd now is buying collectibles from the aftermarket. Quidd is just a shadow of its former self.
  • Love the Stickers but...

I really Love all the Stickers on Quidd because you can use them outside of the App; which with many other Collecting Apps you CANNOT! However, they recently lost Licensing to ALL of the Best Channels: Rick & Morty (RnM), Steven Universe (SU), My Little Pony (MLP), Bob’s Burgers (BB), We Bare Bears (WBB), Game of Thrones (GoT), & more!!! Basically if it’s on Disney, Fox, or HBO Quidd can NO LONGER SELL items for these Channels. So the only way to get any is if ppl who already Own Some, Sell Some. Now with Cash (yes Real CASH) Listings, ppl are asking to Much Real $ for a virtual item; however Quidd is partial to blame for that cuz they keep changing the Minimum that you can list for. When they started .30 cents it was good, then a month later it was changed to .50 cents (w/o notification), & now it’s at a whole $1...which is insane!!! They need to make the minimum at Least .10 cents... tho some stickers/cards/figures are only worth .01 cent for a 8th Edition item with a card count (cc) of 5+ million.
