Most underrated iPhone app

I can’t believe that this has been around for over a decade, and I’m just now finding it. I play the piano, and I’m always looking for apps that make playing music easier for people and allow them to make music together.

Folks, this is that app. You simply get everyone to download it, do a 123 tap play together, and you can turn your whole family into a handbell choir this holiday season!

I can’t believe that, including this, as of typing this at the end of 2023, that there are only 12 ratings of this app. Yes, it’s extremely simple, and not very polished, but it allows for many people to play some really nice songs together.

To the developer, thank you so much for making this. I hope you see this. Would you consider giving it a facelift and not only adding new songs, but allow for midi upload, to be able to add your own songs? That would be amazing.

I’m sorry that few people have given the value and attention that it deserves. There should be YouTube videos everywhere of schools using this app to play music together. I’m letting everyone I know in education about it.

5 stars. The world needs more apps like this.

Thank you. -Kenneth

No sound except with ear buds

No sound except with ear buds. Also there is about a quarter note of lag time from the time tap the bar until you hear the tone!!
I am giving two stars for the concept only. Fix the sound and that lag time, because it’s not really usable as it is.

Great app/fun

Planning to use with a disability ministry program with chimes. I’m hoping for updates with more music, the ability to put own music in and a speed control but this will be a great way to start.

A wonderful idea!

I got this app to start a children’s bell choir. The idea is wonderful! I do wish there was a way to add more songs to it. The kids love it! It’s like a game and they’re learning notes. It was a little confusing at first, but easy to catch on. You do have to touch the screen to make the bell sound. But ideally the choir should have handbells to ring.

Good idea, but...

The idea of "play your bell when the falling bar in your column reaches the bottom" is a fairly quick & simple substitute for sheet music if, for example, a small handbell choir doesn't read music yet, but wants to get started playing a few simple tunes right away.

Users should note that, just like traditional sheet music, this app doesn't make sounds. Rather it assumes you have real bells, or a group of people with other bell ringing apps (like the developer's own "bell solo" app) on their own handheld devices, and this app helps you know when to ring.

However, an update addressing the following would make it really useful:

•First and foremost, it NEEDS a tempo control, so that a choir can choose different speeds for each melody.

• Also of high importance, more detailed instructions inside the app, and an info icon that opens up these instructions on every view in-app. At the very least, an in-app explanation that this is not meant to make bell sounds, but to tell you when to ring, would make this app less confusing to first time users.

•It would be nice for users to easily import their own music (perhaps via MIDI or musicXML files, or perhaps a way for users to input their own tunes directly inside the app.)

No Sound

I downed this app today. There is no sound at all. I tried deleting & reloading the app, but that did not help. Could the developers please help?

Bells

Fantastic easy to play. Would highly recommend this game.
