  • Great app.

Currently in flight school and wish I would have found this sooner! Wondering when the CH-47f portion will be available since that’s what I just selected for my advanced airframe.

Update 2 Jan 19: When is the 47 study option going to be available!?!? Done with flight school and at my first unit as a pilot and it's still not ready!?!?

Currently in development. Should be here within the month!
  • Chinook flash cards

Chinook flash cards have been “coming soon” for at least the last 6 months. I like what I see for the other airframes and I’m looking forward to seeing the chinook flash cards hopefully sometime soon.

Always up to date and able to study from my phone.

  • Waiting for CH-47F

This app was a fantastic resource throughout primary. The information was in depth and relevant to not only the UH-72, but also in general aviation knowledge. The format and layout is helpful and user-friendly. The only gripe that I have is that the CH-47F does not have any resources yet and there is no indication of how far out that possibility is. I will gladly come back and change my review to five stars once that is not the case.

Hey Ranger, thanks for taking the time to write a review. I’m glad the app has been so helpful up until selecting 47s. We do intend to add Chinooks in the future. I’ve really only had around 3 people in the last 2-3 years ask about the Chinook. Due to the seeming lack of interest I haven’t added the helicopter. I do plan on adding it within the year however. In the meantime I hope the pubs and generic flashcards help! Thanks again!
  • Love the app, but something is missing...

Hi there! Just started the 60M course, and I am so grateful for this app for all the refreshers I can whip through concerning airspace, exogenous factors, etc. The main reason I bought the app though was to study my 5's and 9's, which I thought would be on here... maybe it’s restricted material and I’m just unaware? Otherwise wonderful app, and incredibly user-friendly!

Since I got a developer response, I guess I’ll comment here too. The EP’s do not show up on my iPad. They do, however, work on my phone. I sent an email to the contact email with no response. Do not waste your money on this app.

The EPs and Limits are not restricted. We have not received any email from you. Please delete the app and reinstall on your iPad. This will fix your issue.
  • Good app.

I like this app and have used it for a little over a month now. It is relatively easy to use and mostly accurate. I would recommend this app to my fellow aviators. A few things that I would change if I could would be:
    1. Add the ability to edit flash cards (I use different acronyms occasionally)
    2. Add an in app feature to report inaccurate/outdated information.
    3. I don’t think the back button on the flash cards instead of a swipe from the left is very user friendly.
1&3 might just be my preference, but please add 2.
    Thanks!

Hey Mr. Bypass, Thanks for taking the time to review the app! Let me address your items. 1. I can see the use this would have. It would have to be a local edit feature and not an overall edit that would affect the rest of the user base. We have a list of items to submit to the developers (big brains) and I'll add this to it for price estimation. 2. We already have an in app way to contact us. While you are in a helicopter, select the phone icon in the upper right hand corner and it will send us an email so that you can report any issues you have or suggestions such as the ones you listed above! As long as I'm not sleeping I respond within a few hours ;). 3. I would agree it's probably a preference thing. These coders like to charge an arm and a leg for feature adjustments so I'm honestly not gonna change that one. I REALLY appreciate the feedback. It's users / purchasers like yourself that make this app better for everyone and I can't thank you enough for taking the time to write the review. PLEASE send me an email with any issues you have with the app or any outdated / inaccurate information. Fly Safe!
  • Nothing but the best!!!

    So, where to begin.

First, I'm a student in the 64D course and every pub is there. Every handout is there.

I just open the app and bam! All knowledge!

I once emailed you able PPC info. Forget that email, the info was there the whole time! I Have noticed that it would be more convenient if you could add the ability to select which cards to turn on or off within a given subject. Also, the flash cards on the EPs are not fully showing like they were before. One side is present the other is not. Unless I left the switch on "Hard Mode". J/K. Please fix soon. I really love this app!!!! And the more insight I can provide or anything else I notice I will mention for the best.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE any insight and ideas you have to make this app better for everyone! We look forward to your email!
  • Great study tool! When are the other aircraft coming out?

I recently just graduated the UH-60M course and my IP recommended this app to me during the course. It was very helpful getting me ready for my check rides! Now I’m getting ready to report to my first unit and I’m being told I will be flying Lakotas. If the Lakota section was made available it would help me get back up to speed since I haven’t flown it since primary. Is there a time we can expect that aircraft to be available?

Also, the only thing that I think would help improve the app is if you could incorporate a full list of the cards in each section before you actually start quizzing yourself. This way you can check off what cards you already know and focus on the flash cards you don’t know. So this is what I would envision step by step:
    1. Open flash card section
    2. Open EPs (just an example)
    3. See a list of each EP flash card with the option to check or uncheck.
    4. Each EP that is checked will be in the flash card quiz and cards not checked will be omitted.

Again I think this is a wonderful study tool and I will continue to recommend this to other aviators! Just a minor tweak with the cards and the addition of the last 2 aircraft will make this a perfect app.

    Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to write such an extensive review Rob. Currently we will be releasing the Lakota and Echo model Apache March 18'! Your Flashcard recommendation. I definitely agree that it would be helpful to dismiss certain cards that you don't have an issue with in order to prioritize your studying. Especially with the amount of information we must retain as Army Aviators. We are currently working on a new update to the APP and I'll discuss with my developers on the feasiblity of getting something similar to this in this update or into the next. Thanks again for taking the time to write this and for your support of the app! Fly Safe and keep the recommendations coming!
  • Perfect for Army Aviators

From the UH-60 community, awesome app. Thank you for the time you have put into this, very useful and relevant.
  • Perfect for review before APART

This app is a great refresher before an APART. It has flash cards (well designed I might add) which cover most of the APART topics. Flash cards don't get TOO in depth (about 45 cards for subject) but do give a broad overview of each topic (certainly enough to be prepared for oral exam. Developers should add a way to report individual cards for inaccuracy or incomplete (for instance one question on flight controls flash card for AH-64 the answer is just "1" when should be 100% (I think).

    Highly recommend!
