  • old and annoying bug

To delete more than one book from the library, you need to completely close the application after deleting the first book and log in again. If you don't do this and try to delete two books in a row, then when you delete the second one, you will delete not the one you selected, but the book that is higher in the list... And you can only hope that you have a good memory, since you won't be able to get it back. There is not even a "recently deleted" section. This bug has been unfixed for a year or two.

  • Sorts by author correctly.

But I can't add covers to my downloaded stuff from AO3. (I create my own covers in Phonto for things that don't have covers of their own.)

Give me cover-setting and I'd buy it...
  • Premium

I purchased premium several years ago. The proof of which I cannot find. Without that proof, do you keep records of people who have purchased premium? I had my entire collection of books on FB reader, which were in the hundreds, now I can’t get any more than 10 books. All but 10 are grayed out. It just happened. This is very frustrating.

How do I get premium back. How do I get all those books back.

    Thanks for any response.

  • A World-Class App?

In a world where cheap knock-off ebook readers abound, this one stands out like a shining beacon of competency. No greedy “subscriptions!” Yay! Just an honest price for a great program. There really is no downside to this functional, versatile app and it’s well designed user interface. It took a LONG time to find the best. You don’t have to. Just try the free version and you’ll be buying the full version in no time. But …

In spite of all the things it does well, there is one glaring feature omission: something it apparently doesn’t do at all. It does not read to you. For the price, this is puzzling.

It’s even more puzzling in that the iPhone contains literally dozens of excellent voices. It can even be configured so that screens are audibly read to you. So then, developers, I ask you: How hard can it be to bridge your excellent app to the iPhone native voice synthesis features and create an ebook reader that actually reads? And why has this not been introduced? We want it. Take an already great product and make it world class. But don’t raise the price. For that price it should already have text to speech capability.

  • Great reader overall

I would give this reader all five stars if it were not for one annoying bug that was not fixed during last three or four updates:
when I use the phone in portrait mode to read a book, if I accidentally turn it into landscape mode, the reader switches to the new orientation smoothly. However, when I turn it back into portrait mode, the page is misformatted with margins too wide, and page corrupted as a result. it takes two page turns for the problem to correct itself. Therefore, I am forced to go back a page, and then come back to the original page before I can continue reading. This is seem to be a pretty obvious problem, and should be easy to fix, but that has not happened. it seems like a minor problem, but it can be quite annoying when it happens a dozen times per day. Hopefully they will fix it in one of the next releases.

  • Great no frills reader, but with room to improve

Really great simple reader - the menu and options are unobtrusive and easy to navigate. Really great margin and spacing customization which a lot of the other epub readers dont have. My biggest hang up is that there doesnt seem to be a way to mark read and unread book or mark them as completed.

Otherwise, a really strong and great app!

  • Good, but has some weird glitches

First off, this is the best app on the market if you don't want to kowtow to Kindle's market dominance. It lets you sync your books between all devices. Cool!

But it's still a work in progress. My book progress syncs, but the sections (recently downloaded, recently opened) do not. I have to go to the normal intro page, download the book, then open it and I see my current reading progress. Just doesn't make sense why you can't sync the recently opened section and set the mobile app to automatically download it.

The app is pretty barebones. That's a good thing overall. But it is lacking a handful of useful features to get 5 stars from me.

Sadly, there isn't much competition for crossplatform reading like this, so FB Reader is the best solution at the current moment.

  • Good reader, with limitations

Good reader, easy to use, but cannot load books via iTunes, and no provision for organizing books into collections or shelves.
  • No way to bookmark

For some reason I can’t bookmark anymore. It’s been a while sinc I used this app and I used to love it. But now I can’t highlight or bookmark anymore.
  • Awesome!!!

I’ve been looking for an app that allows for easy access to my collection of ebooks. This is the app. It is much better than Google books and iBooks. It has lots of customization and navigation features and is easy to set up. Highly recommend it
