Love Forever

I got this beauty on launch and it still
thrills me

Beautiful

Amazing. Please try to add more lines to make it possible to sound like Steve reich and little more dynamic feedback would be nice

A cute toy instrument, but...

It isnโ€™t much of a useful musical tool, since it lacks:

loading a sample from an audio file, not just recording the microphone

MIDI file export rather than only audio renders (or even better, routing midi to another app)

save/recall

Amazing sounds!

From something so simple. One complaint though. Why does the big light gray disk appear when you touch close to one end of a string 1) preventing playing closer to the end of the string and 2) Itโ€™s wasting time, and is frustrating, to have to keep putting the string end back to where it was. Iโ€™ve already gotten my monies worth with the sounds Iโ€™ve milked out of the app. Good idea nicely done! Needs to support landscape mode. In the YouTube video, where are those other screens with verbiage and dynamic graphics? Needs to save your drawings. Should also play in the background.

Smartest Music App Ever

Game changer. Please keep this a secret from other artists. So brilliant.

yes!

favorite music art app in a long time. makes me feel as though i'm in a cave painting the walls. great!

Has potential

Great idea and interesting use of gestures but unfortunately a few things let this down. The major flaw is that each gesture addition seems to slow the loop down or cancel out other sounds, so it's hard to build something from scratch without half of the music disappearing. Even if this wasn't an issue, it's very difficult to make a loop that is in sync with every sound you add. Also, there's a pretty limited use of sounds and rhythms that can be used.

Could really be something good if there were a few changes.

Ok but inconsistent

Would be better if it didn't slow down after only adding a couple sequences to it. A "composition" that is very fast turns quite slow the more you work on it. Also, no indication of why certain lines are thicker or thinner, or how that changes the sound, if at all.

Easy interestingness

That's what this app excels at. If you want a beat machine, look elsewhere. If you want a tool to help generate melodies and rhythms you might not play on your own, you're in luck!

Getting used to it

Has potential, but it would be nice to save arrangements of the strings. I use long draws in between the strings with sound #3. That sound is great, but the percussion is really chafing. Looking forward to working with Audiocopy. All you have to do is name and save it with Audiocopy, though it will show a download/upload option with that app and a lot of others. Will re-review in a month and try it with a few more apps. One redeeming quality is the list of suggested apps to work with, as I have not known of several.
