Useless - reports devices offline when they’re online
This is a totally useless app and service, written by incompetent software developers. My kids laptops show up as being offline all the time, even when they’ve actually been online all day. How hard is to show a device status reliably? Almost none of the features work consistently. I doubt if the app or the service has even been tested.

Worthless other than screen mirroring
This app is so poorly coded and designed. The whole goal of blocking websites can’t be done since the developers apparently forgot to make the “select” button in the web history tab to be able to be moved. Click anywhere on it or near it and nothing happens. I bet they just pasted an image of the button without any functionality.

Excellent app
We love this app since you can audit in real time what your child is doing on her computer. Just like on the app and you can see what your child's computer screen looks like at that very moment. This was recommended by school too. Wish there was something like this for iPhones.
Poor Web Content Filtering
This app doesn’t allow for domain blocking, but only allows for blocking a specific site. I have YouTube.com blocked, but my child can Google for a video, click on the specific video link and get access to the content that way. I should be able to block all videos hosted on YouTube.
In Private mode on the browser, it appears that the app doesn’t track the history.
The interface for filtering is awful as it is hard to tell when filtering is applied or not.
This app has potential but it feels like a beta version of parental control software.

Disappointed while waiting for functionality
This app has so much potential, but nearly useless in it’s current state. The only way to operate it is by trial and error, which isn’t even consistent (a problem not unique to Apparent. I’m perplexed as to why my school district selected Apparent for it’s district wide parent monitoring.
No intuitive weak email-only support
The apparent site makes you believe that they are in business since 2016 but the software looks like it was created few months ago and still in alpha version. Good luck getting support. It’s email only and far from instantaneous. Don’t recommend.
