Description of iDStretch

DStretch is a rock art enhancement program used by researchers worldwide. iDStretch is a version for the iPad and iPhone that can be used in the field to reveal faint rock art. iDStretch provides enhancements for a variety of pigments found in rock art. It is fast, simple to use, and enhancements can be saved. iDStretch needs no connectivity to work so enhancements can be done in remote places away from cell service or WiFi. You can load an image from the album or take a picture with the camera. To do an enhancement you can either press one of the buttons on the screen or swipe left or right on an unzoomed image. If you want you can hide the buttons and use swipes or the *Enh* menu item to do enhancements.

Reviews of iDStretch

  • Great app

I used the program on my pc and figured it would be easy to have on my phone too!
  • Not impressed possible scam

Tried many different megalithic types, locations, and even attempted to recreate the cover photo. After all it claims to use digital pics so I used the sample “before” pic and couldn’t get any results resembling the before after example at all. I think I had better results with my iphone’s photo edit option. I resent the $20 I dropped here.
  • App fails on 4s running latest 9.3.5 os

The camera and album will not work making application useless. Album claims to turn on permissions, but settings privacy shows no request from the app for camera nor photos.
