Description of Musical Meter 3

Musical Meter makes learning to read and play music rhythms fun. Thanks to its innovative, two-hand design, our app teaches you not only when to play a note but how long to hold it. Visual representations and animated examples let you see and hear how to play each music symbol. Interactive, randomly generated levels ensure you truly understand the subject matter. Our notation looks professionally engraved so you’ll be ready to read real sheet music. This precision app will hone your timing and help you develop a strong, internalized sense of rhythm. This third app in the Musical Meter suite introduces the following concepts: • complex time (7/8, 5/4, and variable) • tuplets (duplets, triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, and sextuplets) NOTE: This app comes with all features enabled. Sight reading and timing exercises are mentally demanding, so have fun but remember to pace yourself. Enjoy!

Reviews of Musical Meter 3

  • Everything is in triplets.

The exercises are all triplets. I would like to start with something simpler than triplet quarter notes when I’m in 4/4. Triplet 8ths are fine, but triplet quarter notes as the FIRST level? I demand a refund
  • Needs work

The how to instructions were hard to follow and difficult to navigate. The application itself was laggy with the notes being played differently than when I clicked on the screen. I have lots of apps on my phone and this is the first time I’ve been really disappointed by an app. I’m uninstalling.
  • Outstanding!

Instant feedback, good pacing, the advanced levels are challenging, the beginning levels easy to get into. This is great for practicing rhythm and subdividing. Well worth the price to get beginning, intermediate, and advanced.
