Reviews of TricCam Lite

  • Works for what it “basically” does

The purpose of this app is to drive the device that fires your external flash system, be it dedicated DSLR speed lites, or studio strobes. It has a few hiccups in it’s operational smoothness such as reviewing recent captured image in preview, and lacks a timer feature Incase you are doing delicate shots and don’t want to bump the camera during exposure or that you want to be in the image you are taking. But if you are considering an item such as this, then likely you have determined that you LIKE capturing images with your iPhone and WISH for better LIGHT availability and some control. This setup GIVES you THAT specifically. I’m not here to discuss the merits of using a phone for photos, I’ll debate that outside of this review! But if you want to apply more light to your iPhone camera subject, this will do that for you.
I am currently deriving 65% of my income from professional photography and SOME of the images I capture — for a fee — are captured with an iPhone! Period, end of discussion. Thanks for reading!

  • Disappointed

I thought this was a app that would use a A signal coming from the phone that the app created and not need a attachment for the flash.
