Bird calls helpful
Interesting app but please keep adding more birds in the updates as there is a rather limited number of birds. Helpful to hear the examples of bird calls and the evaluation of bird calls you record is handy.Aussie Mum 1
will be good when it has more smaller birds
This app looks like it's got potential, but I was a bit dissapointed that the birds all relevant to my region are ones I can already fairly easily ID from using my Morcambe app - ie distinctive enough calls or bigger birds. The ones I was hoping to find here were the tiny ones it's a nightmare to ID from calls - ie thornbills, gerygones, etc. I'm a field recording person and I'm really into learning to ID from calls rather than visually.
I couldn't find a smart-search function where you can limit to birds in your region - that would make sense surely? Oh well, it's a beginning. Also, some of the ways birds are categorised seem a little strange - 'Rollers'? 'Flowerpeckers'? Thornbills are under 'warblers'? (2)...and a lot of birds have their own category...anyway.
