Lovely . . . but
Ravenhearst was the first hidden object game I ever played, and I adored it. The second one was better in most ways and I still play it occasionally ( good memory workout ). The third was a disappointment, changed the mechanics of the game; I never played past the trial. This one looks great and and has many references to the first two, and I enjoyed it very much.
However, the story runs rough shod over the plot of the second one. Those girls are dead; the detective saw their ghosts. And yet the game blithely has the detective swallowing the idea that they grew up and were Charles' kids. Even if what I imagine happened did happen the detective shouldn't be believing it for a second. I really wish the devs had more respect for the story.Yuko53
Finally, an awesome game!
BFG has been seriously lacking in gameplay and quality lately, so I was pleasantly surprised with this game. The puzzles were sufficiently challenging and creative (which has been a huge complaint with recent games), plus, they changed up regularly. The storyline was creepy and rather decent (even though I tend to prefer the prettier ones, but I'll take creepy as well), the HOPs changed up and kept me interested, and I didn't find the typical glitches that I normally do with the game. All in all, it's an awesome 5-star game. I never get to say that anymore, it feels nice! It's about freaking time BFG puts out a game that is worth the generally overpriced $5 they charge per game. In fact, I'll probably go back and play it again just because I miss the old BFG days (insert long nostalgic sigh)._LivingDeadGirl_
