Excellent App

I have blood pressure issues, I have a heart artery that is moderately fatty so my blood pressure is really hard to keep up even with medication sometimes in the morning or even in the afternoon when I take a nap, my heartbeat drops below what I set the application for and my daughter is my first emergency contact and she right away texts me asking me if I’m alright and the purpose is, if I don't respond to her, she’ll call the cops to get into my apartment. I got this app because I always have thought that my heart is my weakest point and I wouldn’t like someone to find me dead days or even weeks later when my body is already decomposing.

Turn off security settings?!?

The last step in the app set-up requires you to disable Face/Touch unlock, change PIN to 4 digit code AND set ‘lock’ at the maximum of 4 hours. No.

How is this app even allowed by Apple when it requires bypassing all of the security features?!?

Hi AJ, the last steps in the app on-boarding recommends the iPhone setting which should work best for our app. I fully understand that this might not fit to your requirements. On the other hand, our app respects and follows the App Store rules, for example the one regarding the health data. It says that only when your iPhone is unlocked can we access your health data and monitor your heart rate. If the benefits that our app brings to the table do not outweigh your security concerns, I strongly suggest you to remove our app from your device. Regards Jan from RscMe

Could be great heart rate is tied to age in app

I love the entire concept of this app because I have POTS but my heart rate has absolutely nothing to do with my age. My heart rate is totally connected to whether I’m standing up or laying down (or if I’ve taken my meds correctly). I recently had a health incident and wanted something that would notify myself as well as my mom if my heart rate went below X and since Apple only notifies myself this app came up in my search. Unfortunately I couldn’t set my own heart rate - that’s the biggest flaw. Otherwise I would love it. And I would suggest it to everyone in my assorted groups for POTS.

DO NOT PURCHASE

I never write reviews, but I came here to warn you- this app will not share your info unless you remove the passcode and Face ID. So you literally cannot lock your phone to use this and it doesn’t tell you until after you pay and set up an account. I was able to do the same thing this does in the Health app that comes preinstalled on your iPhone.

Hi Tia, you need to set up the passcode lock which is mentioned in the onboarding. You do not have to pay anything at this stage. According to Apple's requirements for working with health-related data, only when your iPhone is unlocked can we access your health data and monitor your heart rate. I hope I made this clear. Regards Jan

Doesn’t alert

I do not have a lock
On my phone but if the app isn’t open it doesn’t check heart rate at all.
So you cannot do something else and have it checking. Also it doesn’t send alerts like it claims

I am not sure why you experience this. In our logs I can see many SMS alerts being sent throughout the world. Please can you send me more error details by email to info@rscme.com? Thanks Jan

Please fix!

Please let people adjust their thresholds. My son has WPW I am currently using seizalarm as he also has epilepsy seizalarm is good but it doesn’t send the heartrate. 170bpm is often SVT for him as he’s getting older I’m running out of options.

Doesn’t work if phone locked

I thought this app was a brilliant idea but it’s pretty pointless as it does it does not work while the phone is locked!

Response from developer

According to Apple's requirements for working with health-related data, only when your iPhone is unlocked can we access your health data and monitor your heart rate. So you will need to set up (Require after 4 hours) or turn off the passcode lock on your iPhone. Regards Jan

Can’t adjust heart rate thresholds

Trying to use this to monitor my daughters hr and the threshold is way way way too high. It’s impossible to adjust it other than to say she is 100 years old so it lowers.
