Description of RED100 BoM Reading Challenge

This app originated in the form of an untitled, unattributed Book of Mormon reading guide with daily quotes and questions. This book was given to everyone in my ward here in Taipei, Taiwan. We were all challenged to complete it in the 100 days of summer. We were all very impressed with the experience it brought. Being filled with the spirit every day from pondering over the quotes and questions while reading through the assignments was just what we all needed. I was so impressed with the book I thought it would be great if there were an electronic version that I could put on my phone and keep track of personal progress. That's when I had the idea that I could make it into an app. So, I started learning how to make an iPhone app just so I could put this book in the AppStore and help spread the word of God. I hope you enjoy using RED100 as much as I did, and I know that if you truly put the app to good use, not only will you finish the Book of Mormon in 100 days, but you’ll also strengthen your relationship with the Lord through continual scripture study.

  • Better that BofM 365

This apps scripture links don't open up in the gospel library app but that's a small problem. It's the challenge that my wife and I need to really study the scriptures rather than get reading for ten minutes every day using BofM 365 on Facebook or Instagram. Most days we'd miss because it's so easy to make up the readings we skip.

  • Potential

Same as old app. Does not open scripture links. Super app when working.
  • Tracks your reading

I was wanting a way to keep track of my Book of Mormon studies and this app does that in a day 1, day 2, day 3 ...format with each day assigned a block of reading with a check being automatically put in front of the day you clicked open. Supposedly if you read each day's assignment you will have read the entire Book of Mormon. Day 1 had me read up to and including Joseph Smith's testimony. The app links to the gospel library app. I don't know if I will use the note taking feature. I write notes in the gospel library app as I read.
