In Settings under Measurement settings you can choose one of three categories: Motocross, Trial or Other. Each category has its own settings. You can change the settings of the selected category by tapping Settings. Here you can change Detection threshold and Bang detection level. Different displacements can have different Noise limits and different Minimal RPMs. To add new limits, tap the + button. A new row appears in table Settings per displacement. To edit the limits, tap the row. Here a displacement can be entered, you can select strokes and edit noise limit and minimal RPM. These limits determine whether a motorcycle passes or fails the test. The motorcycle passes the test if measured sound level is smaller than noise limit and recorded RPM value is greater than Minimal RPM. If any one of the two criteria is not met, the motorcycle fails the test. To return back to category settings, tap the category name in upper left corner. You can add multiple settings per displacement by tapping +multiple times, but only the top two displacements will be displayed on the main screen. To edit the Settings per displacement table, tap Edit. Now you can rearrange the order of rows by touching and dragging the hamburger button up or down. You can delete a row by tapping the delete button on the left and confirming by tapping Delete. If you don’t really want to delete, just tap anywhere in the settings window to cancel. On the main screen, when you select stroke, the top two displacements from the list of displacements are shown. To select another displacement on the main screen, tap the third displacement button and select it from the list or add a new one.

Description of Race Patrol

Race Patrol The Official “Upgraded 2M Max” test application. This is the app that the FIM uses to test the motorcycles for the MX Championship (MXGP, MX 2 and WMX). Major difference to the regular 2M Max test is that the system is capable of detecting the RPM from the acoustic signal. The Race Patrol App controls the dedicated Hardware which performs all the data acquisition and then Wirelessly transfers them to the app. Unparalleled measurement accuracy is achieved by using the Type approved IEC 61672 Class 1 Sound Level Meter. Controlled by the app is also a printer that allows for quick result printout with all the meta-data from the measurement. User interface has been specially developed in co-operation with the Technical Commission of the FIM for Motocross. Special care was given to the relevant meta-data and smart measurement control with focus on speed and ease of use. Integrated measurement archive allows overview and filtering of past measurement results to compare and make printouts. Database also stores all the meta-data relevant for each measurement App is designed as a platform and has provisions for future upgrades and expansions. Features at a glance: Sound Level Measurements (IEC 61672 compliant) RPM detection from acoustic signal Wireless operation Customizable Printout Minimum RPM Threshold as a prerequisite to pass the test Explosion in exhaust detection Pass/Fail Verdict Day/Night Mode of the app Full day autonomous operation* *based on typical speed of testing and amount of tests in a given day for a MX Championship race Technical Inspection.
