Amazing insights and so easy and quick to use
I absolutely love this app. I thought I knew how to identify problematic ingredients but this App has certainly cleaned my house up (both with food choices and body products). It’s so important that we are informed about these dangerous ingredients and chemicals being used and approved for use in Australia. It may be ok to be exposed by 1 product but so many products include these horribly impacting things that an accumulative effect is happening when using and consuming poor choices. I hope this App helps to hold the FDA and manufacturers accountable for what they are allowing into our products. It actually makes me angry for our children who live in such a consumerised society. It’s no wonder so many of us end up with chronic diseases !. Enlighten yourselves and give this app a go K Congdon Perth Australia 🇦🇺

Love it
I am a newbie user and tried it on cosmetics and a few food products only, but already loving it. With food I realised that it is not as bad and here and there we could still improve with some healthier versions. With cosmetics I thought it is not as bad but realised that particularly make up items are quite bad and poor. I am working slowly on replacing them. Thank you Yuka for being here and for a great idea to clarify what is actually in the products as the packaging is very deceptive. Really appreciated this project! Like the simplicity of the app and the humour ( try scanning a beer..;).

Clarity on Beauty Products – And Big Savings!
For years, I’ve suspected that many expensive, popular cosmetic and beauty brands contain harmful additives. This app has finally confirmed some of my suspicions while dispelling others. It’s as transparent as learning about food ingredients and counting calories. I’ll definitely be recommending it to everyone I know—it’s so important and necessary. I was surprised to discover that many affordable pharmacy brands are actually better than the pricey ones, and I’ll be saving a lot of money because of it!

This app takes everything out of context and praise on the fear mongering in today’s “health” culture such a useless waste of time. Everything is about balance you don’t need a stupid app to tell you what’s good and what’s not follow a doctor say and balance

Best food app!
I can’t say enough great things about Yuka. As someone who values finding the healthiest, organic products in the supermarket, there is none better. Esp as I follow a Whole Foods plant based diet . First, I’m stunned at how I have never scanned anything and it wasn’t recognized. Also, I appreciate that they take ZERO money from brands to ensure they can stay objective and unbiased. The other food apps I used before I found YUKA I discovered were sponsored by brands which is not good. I value that when j scan something and it is not recommended I can instantly see similar products that are recommended. This feature makes it so much easier for swap out food choices. I’ve also completely eliminate some foods that I used to use that are not good and found there are not better options anyway so I don’t use at all anymore. If you want to get help understanding labels and seeing what is good or not and why, you’ll love this app. I literally walk around the store with my Yuka app on the entire time ! Lastly , it remember your scans so you can look back and refer if needed. The best!

This app might be based on “official information” but it’s old debunked information! Listening to the ”experts” makes people fat and sick!

Best App Ever!
This app should automatically come with new phones. Where was this all my life!?! I’m a scanning queen now and my eyes are being opened to so much. I eat whole non processed foods 90% of the time, so the stuff that is processed and I assumed was the best version, I’m finding out is not. I love it shows what additives and how risky they are, I love how fast and easy it is, I love that you can add things that might not be listed, I love that it’s not just for food!!! I scanned 5 different deodorants I have and the one I spent $25 on was the worst!!! The cleanest was from TJmax for 4.99! I absolutely love this app and have been a spokesperson for it since day 1!!! I have turned so many people onto this app and the countless messages I receive when I share results I get make me feel great! To be able to help someone make better decisions that can possibly help avoid disease or sickness means the world to me. So if all I can do is share about this app then that’s what I’ll do! Thank you you amazing souls for creating this App!

Making healthy informed choices !
A fabulous app which rates food and cosmetic items and provides detailed information on ingredients used especially all those hidden and harmful additives ! You may choose to totally eliminate a product ( I’ve thrown quite a few away ) or at least minimise exposure to harmful chemicals and additives and you can only do this by knowing what is in your food and personal products . A better alternative is suggested ( without trying to sell it to you like other apps ) . Yuka helps you know what you’re buying and caring about the amount of toxic additives you’re ingesting . The yuka newsletters are informative and valuable and an extra bonus with the app . It’s all about caring about your health and making sound choices and Yuka equips you to do just that . Scan and learn !

Amazing and simple app
Like others here I’ve never written a review before but this app is outstanding. Being able to see instantly what’s in the food we eat and the cosmetics we use is potentially a life changer. I was in the supermarket the other day and standing next to a couple arguing about whether they should buy a particular cereal. It turned out one of them was a diabetic and the cereal in question had a high sugar content but the label was so small they couldn’t read it. The app told then instantly. A work colleague has had auto-immune issues for several years and has tried giving up all sorts of things and the app informed her that the mints she’s been eating regularly for years have contained a chemical that affects immune systems. It’s extraordinary what gets put in food these days and this app is exposing it all. Thank you.

Yuka - Food and Cosmetic Scanner
When my daughter told me about this wonderful Yuka app, I just had to get it. Yuka is so easy to use while shopping, actually it is easy and fun to use. I have changed products, as some of my products were not so good, ooops!! Not just food also cosmetics. Also my moisturiser, I have change to a better one, which really I do not know which are good ingredients or bad, especially in moisturiser’s - hand wash - biscuits - dried fruit and others.
I wish to thank the co founders, Julie, Francois and Benoit for inventing this life changing app, which they have made in a way that you understand how to use the app straight away. This is a dream come true for people like myself to find better products to buy and to stay healthier.
