The addition of the import exiting photo feature was essential for practical use. The application is sufficient for acquiring measurements that are not available by physical means. I used this tool to take measurements from photos and then took physical measurements. The accuracy was 5% - 20%, which is good enough for my purposes.
The user experience can be greatly enhanced with better selection buttons and process to use the application. It is not intuitive where the demo ends and using tokens for project begins. The user is given the same screens as the demo and not until selecting to measure is the user asked for purchased tokens. Having “Demo”, “New Project”, Existing Projects” as separate selections on the main screen would be helpful with a request for token made when “New Projects” is selected.
Old Review
Useless; cannot add photo by camera or pre-existing photo
I am using iPad Pro, iOS 16.6.1 Only the demo photo is available to make measurements. The help documentation does not contain information to get photo into the MIDDELO library. I purchased additional tokens thinking that it doing so would show feature to add photo, but that did not work. I received no responses from developer. Because this application only works with its demo file it is useless. I would rate this app as a zero number, but the lowest available rating is one star, so that is the rating I gave it I will proceed to get information I need mathematically. It would had saved me a little time, but such is life.

Hi, thanks once again for taking the time to review the App. Regarding the accuracy, in all the tests we have performed, the margin of error is less than 1%. If you are getting inaccurate measurements, please try these recommendations so you can improve the accuracy:
1. The surface to be measured must be seen completely.
2. The photo cannot be taken with a wide angle lens like the GoPro, that will cause image distortions.
3. Do not upload screenshots or cropped photos.
4. Check the reference measure (initial measure). You can always edit it's measurement and also it's location on the surface being measured.
5. Check the perspective in the fuchsia button called "Perspective", so that it is aligned to the surface being measured.
We hope that with these recommendations, you can get better results!
Oct 23 2023: Great news! We just launched the new version where you can UPLOAD YOUR OWN PHOTOS into the App, as promised!
There's no need to go to the site and take the photo with the App anymore! Just open the App and upload that photo of the building you want to measure. Or even better, have someone send you the photo of the surface to be measured, and you can calculate all the measurements as well.
Nevertheless, you can still take a photo of the surface to be measured on site with the App, if you prefer.
Thanks to your and other users feedback, we were able to identify this need and deliver an incredible functionality that will help our users save even more time in their measuring process!
We really hope you can give MIDDELO another try!
Sep 13 2023: Hi, thank you for taking the time to try our App and for sharing your feedback. Nevertheless, we would like to clarify your concerns.
First of all, regarding the functionality of the App, we want to clarify that the App is designed to work with any photo taken by the user with the App. It does not only work with the demo as you mentioned. Currently our App does not have the functionality to upload photos stored in the camera roll. But the good news as we mentioned in our email, is that we are already working in a new version, that will enable the App to upload photos taken previously with the phone.
Second of all, we did respond to your inquiry via email the next business day we received your communication, we apologize we were unable to respond your email the same day, partly due to a time difference.
Thank you once again for your feedback and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email. Best regards!I am using iPad Pro, iOS 16.6.1
