Experienced Grouse Grinder (3,040 hikes) seeking alternative to Grind/BCMC during closure April 19-20. Little information provided here to encourage me to try this as an alternative, particularly as relates to time of year. Spikes advised/required?2EGrinder

The following comments are directly from the app developer and do not necessarily reflect the views of Sea to Sky Gondola: The Sea to Sky Gondola is currently closed and was closed April 19-20, 2021 while you were seeking an alternative adventure. By extension, Sea to Summit Trail was closed during this time. For what it's worth, when you are hiking in BC's mountains, be sure that you are aware of the weather leading up to, and the forecast for, the day of your adventure. The detailed descriptions in the app clearly state exposed granite slopes and sections of fixed lines for the more difficult routes. If you were to attempt any of these routes in the winter months, you may encounter compact, slippery snow and ice covered granite. You are adventuring in the mountains of British Columbia; it is essential that you are suitably prepared! The following is taken directly from the disclaimer that you had to agree to before accessing the maps: "This app is not a substitute for experience and proper judgement." Please, be safe out there! Our search and rescue teams are already very busy!
