Description of International Fixed Calendar

This app will allow you to check dates on the International Fixed Calendar. It also includes widgets, an Apple Watch App, and Apple Watch Complications so you can always know which date it is! The International Fixed Calendar was a planned calendar reform which added a new month, Sol, between June and July. The International Fixed Calendar therefore had 13 equal months fixed in size with 28 days each. The calendar system brought a number of great benefits, but humanity decided it would be a better idea to have another giant war instead and the plans were shelved. Good job humanity! Despite this the Kodak company used the calendar internally between 1928 and 1989. If you're a time traveling Kodak employee who owns an Apple Watch then this is the app for you!

Reviews of International Fixed Calendar

  • Simple & useful tool

Thank you for providing this simple & useful tool for anyone interested in or utilizing the International Fixed Calendar.
  • Wrong date

The date is one day behind the correct international fixed calendar. I have checked several websites, an Android app and made a Python program. They all show the date one day ahead of this app. This app has some issue with the date conversion algorithm.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your review. Just so I understand do you mean as in the day of the week? For example the day I am writing this reply is on Monday the 15th of July on the Georgian calendar we typically use but on the International Fixed Calendar it is Saturday the 28th of Sol. Every month has 28 days (4 weeks) and starts on a Sunday so the days of the week will not always match the Georgian calendar. If this is not the issue you mean please do let us know and we can look further into this and see if there is an issue with the app. If it is just a day of the week issue I hope this helps you understand why they are different between the two calendar systems ☺️
