My first review indicated too many doubles rolled by AI. This is a perception because of the timing and value of the doubles rolled by the AI. Often the # of doubles rolled are equal but are “timed” very differently. A roll of doubles for the player at the end of bearing off when one pip remains or the game is already lost has no positive consequence. Several high value doubles rolled by the AI at the very beginning of the game that provides a solid start has very positive consequences. AI multiple doubles rolled when very behind can cost you the game despite having been way ahead. Manipulation of dice rolls to match what the AI needs to bear off. These tricks seem to be the standard program for this game. The ability to roll precisely the number necessary to hit the player combined with the strategic timing of doubles makes this game frustrating and unpleasant to play.
How can any game programmer think that this scenario would be enjoyable. I would think that keeping us playing would be their goal, not chasing off to something more fair. Will they ever learn?
It seems this site doesn’t post reviews, only one, year old review posted and it’s very critical?
