  • Interesting game but rigged

As an idle game, it is an interesting game and is enjoyable. If you just want to kill some times a day, don’t play this game unless you don’t care for progress or events. I deducted two stars due to a lot of lags in the game after watching a video. It can take from 15 seconds to a minute before the game can be fully controlled again. This issue starts after you have been playing the game for a while (around the time you open Ruby mine or so). Another issue is similar to any gacha game, rigged. How rigged? I spin the free wheel which happens once a day and I got the lowest prize in consecutive 5 days. And last but not least, the game keeps forget idle time when I get back online after I wake up. So all the idle time is never counted; thus no coins gained but those in-game selling pop ups instead. Overall the game concept is nice as an idle game. Fast pace. But it could be frustrated and it lives with ads. Stuff is not cheap. Though I spent about $3 to try some stuff out. If you want to compete in their event, be prepared to spend some money or you won’t get much but if you all F2P and chill, then it is a game for you.

Update: The game still crashing from time to time. The new event promotion pop up is ruining the game because it replaces idle money, so you get no money if you switch map. Overall the game is not really what I would recommend to others yet.

  • Stay away from this game! Awful updating of the platform

I’ve been playing this game for a couple of years. I’ve easily invested hundreds of dollars during that time, to advance through the game. It used to be fun and entertaining, and I had no issue supporting the developers, although I sometimes felt guilty for spending so much on it. As of the past four or six months, the game platform has consistently been getting more glitchy, and the money required to finish events, or get a super manager, has steadily increased, when Instead they shortly be figuring out ways to make the platform more reliable. Just today, I spent some cash on the Black Friday offers, and was considering spending more to get the new SM, when suddenly it is impossible to change continents or mines, without the system kicking you out. In the past, I used to be able to log back in after the first kick, but today I’ve tried it no less than 5 times, and every time I try to switch from Frontier to Elemental, I get kicked out. Utterly frustrating and completely unacceptable. If you’re contemplating playing this game… please don’t… unless frustration brings you joy. The only reason I give it two stars, is because I did get enjoyment the first year I played it. But if it had started as it is today, I would not have spent a dime.

  • Started off good but when downhill quick

I am a pretty new player, and really enjoyed the concept and game when I started. Once I got the ruby mine, I swear every minute I get an ad. I sat measuring the amount of ads I got, and was close to 1 per minute, (.7 ads per minute), which is INSANE. Most crappy mobile games don’t even give you that much, which is ridiculous. The game is generating cash like crazy, but the devs feel the need to keep us drowning in ads. The only solution is to play on airplane mode, but during my playtime I can’t receive messages. Also, as soon as you open the game, you have to click out of like 5 windows that just lead to “events” that are just more moneymaking schemes, with the only way to participate in them is give them your money. Progressing is extremely slow, with long barriers that delay your expansion (and can sometimes exceed 1 day! Wth?) and many ways to pay for different OP items to speed it up.

It’s a good and entertaining concept, which is the only reason I gave it two stars, and if you are willing to pay for a 20 dollar no ads, I mean… It’s worth it I guess. And if you want to actually progress, probably another 50 dollars. But at that point just get a new xbox game or idk… save it for something important?

  • Not what I would call 'idle'

This game is fun; it really is. The time required to play is enormous for an 'idle' game, though. Each mine has thirty levels plus the elevator and warehouse. There are seven main islands with five mines each, events that repeat each week for decent rewards, and then Impossible Island, which takes 25 days just to unlock one mine (and 200 for the first three).
After my second round playing this game, Mainland was still the death knell: 225 mines taking at least a day of semi-active play each, and it takes dozens of them to get or upgrade Super Managers. Plus now, only basic SMs are available in Mainland; the rest are for Super Cash in the store - achievable, but by no means quickly.
If you're going to play, get the ad-free or you’ll be drowning in the things. Consider the permanent double active (not idle!) boost or the game will crawl, same with any other idler. After that, feel feee to enjoy - but be aware of the time investment each and every day.

  • This is a 5 star idle game.

First of all, it’s fun. It has enough features to, depending on how much you play, can play for years and not unlock everything. I’m only on the Ice Continent, and there’s like 5 more. Super Managers also allow a lot more cash to flow in, allowing the game to go by a little faster. Yea sure, there are lots of ads and in-game purchases, but all are optional. It’s not impossible to progress without it. They do get a little pushy, but the X at the top right is still there. Yea sure, that would make this game a play to win game as well, but guess what? There isn’t a player vs player who has the better mine unless you make that a deal with your friends that you may or may not have.

Anyway, if you like other idle games like Ortiels…or however you spell it…”Cookie Clicker” or “AdVenture Capitalist,” then this will be a great game for you.

  • I only care about idle miner tycoon

Over the last several months, I have built up an incredible fortune within this game. It’s safe to say idle miner has completely taken over my life, in the best possible way. When I first started playing this game I never thought I would enjoy it. I had seen the ads and thought it was a boring looking game. But I finally succumbed. I was almost instantly hooked. I went my first two weeks of idle miner tycoon without talking to anyone (except my beloved managers: Cody Casner, Kecia Kindig and Earl Evelyn to name a few). After getting this blessed game, my social life went to zero; and hey, I’m not complaining! I had been needing something to use to escape, something to get away from it all, and the coconut water just wasn’t doing it for me anymore. This game was truly a blessing in that regard, a gift from god. It makes me feel like god! I have control over someone else for the first time in my life. I just sit back and watch as my incredible persevering miners just keep mining—how do they do it anyways? I feel that my relationship with my workers in idle miner tycoon is not a controlling one, but one of compassion. My addiction to this game has frankly ruined my life. But you know what, I don’t care anymore. Idle tycoon IS my life. I love my managers. I love my workers. Let us pray they never stop their all-preserving mining!

  • Achieve A New Level Of Annoyance

I remember when this game was pretty basic. I would spend hours playing. Over the course of a number of updates it gradually became more of a nuisance. Log in to Facebook so we can track your activity there. 5 popups asking for money, 12 icons running down the left hand side and on the top of the screen all flashing begging for your attention. A random gopher popping up at the bottom feeding you an ad based reward. This game went from enjoyable to down right flipping annoying. Only a matter of time before the creators run out of screen real estate and render the game unplayable. I feel sorry for the devs and designers whom put so much energy in to making this game. They had a really fun and solid concept but some bean pusher or upper probably wanted more ways to earn revenue and kept telling the team to add more more MORE. I regret re-downloading it and was reminded very quickly of why I ended up uninstalling the game many many many months ago. Nice to see it hasn’t gotten better but rather just MORE ANNOYING some how. *insert slow clap here*

  • Small drop rate on higher priced items

I don’t hate this game whatsoever. I’ve personally played a ton of it. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen a company that is as greedy as this one. Every single thing is gated behind an in game currency that can be unlocked by purchasing or for playing for ever. I’m not complaining about the currency itself but the prices of the items to buy. It almost guarantees the players money to be spent. One suggestion is to not make the game so grindy, as in having to play countless hours to have just enough money to buy a reward that has a small chance in giving something worth all the time you just spent playing. Another suggestion is to remove the whole chance system on high priced items in offers or the shop. I can understand it on lower priced items but playing for countless hours to buy something that only has a small chance of giving you something you want is unfair. So to conclude my review please try to fix the whole system of chance on higher priced items. Like legendary chests etc.I do believe this would help the game because players would feel rewarded for all the time they just spent on your game. Hope this review finds you well. Thank you for your time.

  • love it-there are some glitches tho…

i play this game way too much. i think it’s finnneee… anyways, i have gone back to this game quite often after deleting it and reinstalling. it connects back to my facebook pretty easily, but this time around i’m a little upset. it’s being super glitchy on my expeditions and i have to close the app out and reopen it whenever i start a new expedition, and it says i can’t play with any of my other friends on facebook that i know have this game. i got super far in the valentines event, and then it disconnected from my FB and made me load in from the cloud, which was doing worse than what i had going for me in my new one. it restarted my entire event and i lost all my progress and medals and fun stuff that i had gotten to. made me a little upset cuz i only had two days to get the whole thing done which in my opinion isn’t enough time. but all in all i love this game, and the updates since i first installed it? chefs kiss. you guys are doing great with this.
