Another great game bites the dust
My longstanding cribbage game has been shut down and replaced by an imposter. The interface is clunky, the graphics aren’t smooth, and it requires a $10 MONTHLY subscription to eliminate ads. That’s more than I pay for Apple TV among other things. And obviously, my purchase of the previous edition is no longer in effect. Of course they need to make money, but they’re not getting any from me. Deleted it, and looking for an alternative.
UPDATE
I gave it another try following the developer’s response, and I knocked my review down from 3 stars to 2. It’s nothing like it was. It’s visually noisy and full of animations and sparkles and intrusive comments/help. Glad I had the sound off, at least. There is now a “restore purchase” link in the menu if you can find it. But given the choice, I’d rather play a game that’s just watching ads in the hope that it would be less miserable.
