Reviews of Starved Rock & Trails

  • Not useful

Very little function. It does 3 things:
    1. Has a few-sentence summary of the park- not useful
    2. Has a map of the park that will show your location and has a few destinations pinned, with just their name- you cannot zoom on the map. You cannot see how long any of the trails are. You cannot get details about what any of the pins actually are. You cannot choose desired points or pick a trail to view exclusively.
    3. It has photos of the park- who wants to download an app of the park for photos? Either I might want to see a photos section in a state park app, to decide where i want to go... or if I am going to the park myself, I will look at the actual park.
The photos would be helpful if I could click a destination on the map to see them, to help me make sure i am taking the route I want... but that didn’t happen.
  • Useless

Horrible app they don’t do anything with it, 3 things about useless 2 small paragraphs
Pictures a few only and a map that just shows you can’t do anything with it
Come on even places like mall of America use a system to walk and find stores this app is useless
  • Decent app

I have hiked almost every trail at one time or another. It’s nice to look and see a visual display of where you are along the way.

I just wish the map would follow the gps and you could rotate and zoom without it always snapping back. You have to consistently move the screen to see where you are.
