Too plain
The app is great for what it does, but they could and should add more too it. I think if they added videos to help people it would be worth the $2. Another addition could be that the app would record you and you watch your faceoff after.

Great app, definitely worth the purchase
Almost perfect
Great appeal for face-offs but there is one problem. There is a slight humming that starts around a half second before the whistle sound plays making it really easy to anticipate the whistle.

A necessity for all levels
As an experienced face off guy who is committed to play at a high Division 1 level, this app solves numerous problems I have had over the years. First, the ability to train with whistles that randomize themselves at my preference is a life saver. Too many times I had begun to subconsciously memorize the whistles I was using, despite the fact that they were on an iTunes playlist set to shuffle. The FOA solved a problem that too many face off guys have run into.
Also, at the $1.99 price tag I can understand people's hesitance to purchase the app. However, if you are a face off guy, young or old, who is serious about the position and mastering it this app is a necessity. Getting better requires putting the work in and this app makes it a lot easier to get out there and get the necessary reps in.
Overall this is a great app and the guys at the FOA have hit the nail right on the head. A brilliant app overall.
