  • A good change from MFP

I’ve been using my fitness pal for years and I found myself looking for something a little different. I’m liking this food tracker however the fitness tracker is not user friendly. I go to a fitness class 3xs a week and find myself not being able to track it or can’t figure it out.
  • Decent health app

I like the photo option. It is missing compatibility with Apple Watch. I use my Apple Watch to record workouts, steps, etc. Due to this it is really no different than Loose It and premium of Loose It is less expensive.
  • No support!

I’m using Calorie Mama because it was recommended to use with the zoomy all apps and I want everything to work together. I have to agree with the first review. The photograph feature is never accurate.

I had a bowl of macaroni and cheese with spinach mixed in and it said pizza or taco.

I tried to get Support on the link here, absolutely no information about Calorie Mama and there’s no way to get Support. When you go to Azumio’s website, it is very clear they are not interested in hearing from us.

  • Great food/calorie tracking app!

I am a personal trainer and this product is great and I will recommend it to all of my clients! That way I can see what they are really eating and they can see how many calories their meals really are.
  • Ok product but make it cool or something

I’ve tried this out, and obviously, it’s really hard to get something like this to work perfectly, but it’s actually pretty impressive. Far from perfect, but the functionality is still decently useful.

My main gripe with it is the packaging. I seriously hate the app icon so much I want to delete it so I don’t have to look at it anymore! Also, the name Calorie Mama? Are you trying to only market this to recent mothers? Broaden your target market a bit!! Sheesh.

  • Not worth downloading for free

I’ve been using MyFitnessPal for years and love it, but wanted to try an App that would count calories from a photo. No good! App crashed the first three times I tried to take a photo. Finally, I took a photo and added it from my camera app. It worked but only recognized ONE item on my plate. The items were separated on the plate (fried eggs, slices of bacon, sliced avocado). All the AI could recognize was fried egg!! Waste of time!!

  • Stopped Working

I really liked this app - seemed easier to use than My Fitness Pal - but the calorie counter stopped working after a few days use. The developer did respond to my email quickly and said they are having this issue after a recent update. This was 3 days ago and still no fix. Back to My Fitness Pal!
  • Awkward and difficult to use.

I’ve been using the premium version of this app for a little less than a month and I have to say I hate it. Entering in my daily meals is cumbersome and the database itself is often inaccurate. The camera feature (which is one of the main reasons I chose this app) rarely works and is worthless. For instance, when I took a picture of mashed potatoes the app suggested they were a plate of cauliflower. Arugula salad was green beans. Whole meal pictures are worse. There are also things that are irritating with the app. Like constantly seeing an ad for Argus’ scale even though I have a premium account. The camera screen blocking out the menu buttons when first starting the app, and even the included recipes are junk.

Lastly, be very careful when purchasing a subscription with this company. I chose the 1 year subscription and immediately hated the app. Apple would not refund my money even though Argus’ terms state I had 14 days to change my mind. Once you subscribe you’re stuck.

There are much better apps with more accurate and user friendly databases. I suggest you avoid Argus with a ten foot pole.

  • Love this App

I have lost 14 lbs in 1 1/2 months just keeping my calories below the amount required towards my target weight. This app is a extremely easy to use. Taking a pic of a meal helps so much by giving me all the necessary information. I would highly recommend Calorie Mama to others who are serious of losing weight and changing their eating habits.

  • Don’t waste your time

It can’t even get the calories correct when I scan a barcode.

    I’m not impressed.

Why can’t someone make an app That allows you to scan the actual calorie information? That would be better than using the barcode, because it never seems to get it right.
