Whether you are a bio-hacker or just concerned about your health, FoodEffect assists you in your quest for peak performance and a healthier life. FoodEffect's main component is: •Food Sensitivity Test •Relax Screen Inflammation is an innate response to injury, stress, or illness, poor gut function or eating toxic foods (high-toxin, high-sugar, high-processed, high-gluten, etc.) and induces an inflammatory response. When this response becomes the norm for your body, it becomes a low-level feature in your physiology and problems arise. It turns out that inflammation is the common link between cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and obesity in developed nations and thus should be reduced by whatever means available. FoodEffect provides a tool for detecting food sensitivities that may contribute to low level inflammation. If you are sensitive to certain foods, you may not experience symptoms, though your body reacts by elevating your heart rate after eating an offending food. The food sensitivity feature will detect this elevation in heart rate which can occur anytime up to 1 ½ hours after eating an offending food. Using a compatible heart monitor or manual entry, Food Effect monitors your pulse three times after eating and assigns either a red “X” (sensitive) or a green checkmark (not sensitive). FoodEffect has a Relax screen via the Monitor screen that features a breath pacer to help you balance your nervous system. By exhaling at 2 times the length of your inhale, you can dampen the effects of the “fight or flight” response, enhance the “rest and repair” response of your nervous system and restore balance to your day.

Reviews of FoodEffect

I’m sensitive to eggs?@!

I love this app! I’ve been having some inflammation and so I decided to use food effect to test a few common foods that people are allergic to. It turns out that I have a sensitivity to eggs! Who knew! I’ll continue to test other foods especially the ones that are on the suspect list!
