Reviews of STiNE

  • Worst university system app I’ve ever used

I’ve gone through many years of school at many universities in many countries. I thought Japan’s dated system was bad but that was just because of unpolished UI. It still works.

But this? This doesn’t work at all. There are countless password issues, definitely unrelated to human error and mistyping. How do I know this? It’ll tell me incorrect password, even though it’s autofilled. I will refresh the page (on the web browser version) maybe 14 times or so, with the exact same autofill, and eventually log in.

Sometimes it doesn’t work at all though, and I will have to log into the rrz user management database with the same correct password (it works first try here, always), and change to a new password.

Now. At this point? One of two things happens. Either it works immediately and I can use the password to log in first try on every other service. Or, it locks me out and I have to wait about 30 minutes, and then it’ll work reliably.

But it’ll only work reliably for a little bit. Then I’ll eventually run into this same error.

The service support was bad too, implying user error, which I find funny. One theory was that old passwords were stored on other devices and that was locking me out. But I only use the same devices regularly. Trash, also the email system is awful too. Emails are sometimes just not sent at all. It’s also the biggest password debacle culprit.
