Crackling sound makes it *unusable.*
I bought the real thing instead because it could be my favorite synth-- and this app does not do the instrument justice.
I cannot imagine suffering through this app with intention to use it in a mix! That crackling would take some noise removal.
Could work like a charm (esp with EQ) but recording is unbearable while heard during tracking.
Cool from a novelty perspective though.
Suggestion-- this app/interface could be more rounded out if the envelope could re-trigger the way the synth does when it is hit during a keypress. Could be a phone hit, a button, midi assignable, etc.
Would also be cool to have an "amp sim" of the hardware speaker in the app.

There is a very audible crackling sound on every note. I’m running it on a iPhone 11 and the crackling is unbearable. That being said, the synth itself does sound pretty good, it’s just a shame it has a bug that isn’t being looked intonah65435678643367
Young Love!
When I was a mere teenager growing up in Tacoma,WA I wondered into Guitar Maniacs one afternoon in the fall I believe based on the fact there were mushrooms popping up everywhere like every wall, any who Rick had one of these in the shop and it was the first synth I ever fell in love with. So I put it on layaway and a quick like 18 months later we were finally together! Unfortunately like most gear I had in those days it was lost to something really stupid like rent or court fees or some other shakedown that didn’t even get me high or wrap up my soul like a giant tiny cardboard and plastic synth that fit in my book bag and extended its space age progress on boring things like pianos and blasted me off into a world of kraftwerk, suicide and Depeche Mode! So thx ehx and it is great to be reunited in the matrix ! What’s up on a re-issue on the hardware?! Love y’all...best app based on a tiny cardboard and plastic magic synth box I’ve ever seen! Terrible
When I first bought this app, probably in 2016, it was wonderful. It worked nicely for years- then very suddenly started producing a clipping/crackling sound whenever any key is pressed. I’ve tried uninstalling then reinstalling, adjusting the velocity, and tweaking several parameters, but nothing helped. No one should ever buy this app if they’re trying to get a working synth sound.Peyton_C

Audio crackles no matter what you do. Electro-Harmonix, please give this app the patch fix it deserves. This app is the only way I will likely ever be able to use the iconic Mini-Synthesizer in my lifetime. Please help us out with a solution!ClubLizard

I really want to like this app, but there are some audio engine issues on my iPhone 6s - lots of high frequency crackles on all of the presets make it unusable for anything serious, and unpleasant for anything playful.rknLA
