Leave a Review Cribbage With Grandpas
A Great Intro to Crib
I’ll admit that I had this game downloaded and ready for QUITE a while, but I finally took the plunge recently…
…And I regret having lost so many opportunities to have an enjoyable game of Cribbage during downtimes. Never having delved into the rules, the whole pegboard thing had me staying on the sidelines, but now I have no idea why I let it get to me.
This is an enjoyable experience. If you feel your opponent is too lucky (experienced), just reroll your gramps into one that doesn’t have as much xp in this game!
Love everything about this.
Know it’s been a few years since the last update, but everything still seems to be working just fine.Show lessMakes me feel like Papa is still here
I was 16 when my Papa passed. Probably 10 when he tried to teach me cribbage. It was too confusing for me at the time. When I learned to love cribbage in young adulthood, I couldn’t shake the guilt over never playing with Papa.
Then I found this game. I know it’s weird, but it helps me remember him and feel close to him. You can even customize your grandpa’s characteristics, and “sore loser” is an option. Papa used to say, “You show me a good loser, and I’ll show you a loser.”
This game really feels like a little piece of our relationship that I wasn’t patient enough to experience in childhood, and that means so much to me.Show lessVery soothing game, extremely well designed
A huge amount of thought and consideration was put into the game play. As another commenter mentioned, I enjoy spending time with my grandpas. I have also become a much better cribbage player over the course of the thousands of games I’ve played! (Find an online hand analysis recourse like C. Liam Brown and you will learn NEVER to break up a double run and almost always go for the flush)Show less
